Cappers NFL Picks: Week 6 Pro Football Power Rankings

Where Each Team Stands Heading Into Week 6

Another crazy week of NFL action is in the books – there are no undefeated teams left in the league after just five weeks! Parity is a real thing in this year’s NFL.

The Broncos continue to push for top spot, the previously undefeated teams tumble down the Rankings and our old friends New England regain their position in this week’s dirty dozen.

With these things in mind let’s take a look at where every team stands heading into what is sure to be a scintillating Week 6 on the NFL schedule.

Let’s break down the NFL’s top dogs.

1. Seahawks (3-1) Last Week: 1

Those of you that don’t appreciate Russell Wilson aren’t Football fans! He did seemingly whatever he wanted to do Monday night and guided the Hawks to a hard fought win. The defending champs are nearly impossible to defend right now offensively and the defense, although it showed a few cracks in Week 5 is still off the charts.

2. Broncos (3-1) Last Week: 2

Manhandled the unbeaten Cards with ease while showing offensive prowess and decent defense along the way. Their only loss came in OT against the #1 team in the Rankings – don’t be surprised to see the Broncos take over the #1 spot before too long.

3. Chargers (4-1) Last Week: 5

Dominated the Seahawks in Week 2 and have not looked back. Week 5 saw perhaps San Diego’s most impressive win – a 31-0 beat down of the Jets. The Chargers have now outscored their opponents by 70 points through five weeks – Philip Rivers has been sensational and the defense is more than holding its own.

4. Bengals (3-1) Last Week: 3

The Bengals ran into a buzz saw that was the New England Patriots in Week 5 – I am willing to give them a mulligan. Cincinnati is still one of the most well rounded teams and the class of the AFC North – expect a bounce back this week.

5. Eagles (4-1) Last Week: 7

The Eagles are a tenuous #5 this week – the defense is just allowing too many big plays. The offense is having issues converting its chances as well. Philadelphia has some company at the top of the NFC East – Dallas isn’t too far behind!

6. Cardinals (3-1) Last Week: 4

The Cards played with their third string QB Sunday after Drew Stanton joined Carson Paler on the sidelines. Washington is next on the schedule – a very winnable game.

7. Cowboys (4-1) Last Week: 10

Still waiting for the Cowboys collapse – it may not come! Tony Romo is completing nearly 69 % of his passes, DeMarco Murray leads the league in rushing and the defense is more than holding its own. A four game win streak has the Boys looking like the biggest surprise in the NFL. Seattle is up next however.

8. 49ers (6-2) Last Week: 9

Beat the Eagles in Week 4 and did a good job against a confident Chiefs team in Week 4. Frank Gore is playing like the difference maker he is and the defense is playing well. Imagine how good this team will be when they get back some injured/suspended stars!

9. Colts (3-2) Last Week: 11

The Colts held the Ravens to just 13 points Sunday and keep trending upward. With Andrew Luck at the helm, the ceiling is very high on this team.

10. Ravens (3-2) Last Week: 6

The Ravens take a step back after their loss to the Colts but there is no doubt about the talent on this team. They held the Colts to 20 points and look like an easy AFC playoff team.

11. Packers (3-2) Last Week: 12

The Packers are officially back – two straight wins over the Bears and the Vikings have the Lambeau faithful breathing a little easier. Eddie Lacy’s breakout game on Thursday night has the Packers prime to break the top 10 in the near future.

12. Patriots (3-2) Last Week: 15

So much for all the talk of dissention in the locker room!

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The Patriots looked terrific on Sunday night in their destruction of the previously unbeaten Bengals. New England’s running game was dominant, Rob Gronkowski had his best game of the year and Tom Brady was… Tom Brady!

13. Giants (3-2) Last Week: 19
14. Panthers (3-2) Last Week: 17
15. Steelers (3-2) Last Week: 18
16. Texans (3-2) Last Week: 16
17. Lions (3-2) Last Week: 8
18. Chiefs (2-3) Last Week: 13
19. Saints (2-3) Last Week: 20
20. Bills (3-2) Last Week: 21
21. Browns (2-2) Last Week: 23
22. Bears (2-3) Last Week: 22
23. Dolphins (2-2) Last Week: 24
24. Falcons (2-3) Last Week: 14
25. Vikings (2-3) Last Week: 25
26. Redskins (1-4) Last Week: 29
27. Rams (1-3) Last Week: 27
28. Jets (1-4) Last Week: 26
29. Buccaneers (1-4) Last Week: 28
30. Titans (1-4) Last Week: 30
31. Raiders (0-4) Last Week: 30
32. Jaguars (0-5) Last Week: 31
