Cappers NFL Picks: Week 10 Pro Football Power Rankings

Where Each Team Stands Heading Into Week 10

Another crazy week of NFL action is in the books – the top Broncos lost and so did the Cowboys which leads to a serious shake-up once again in the Rankings. There is a new #1 this week – bravo Arizona for looking like the most complete team in the game.

There is also a familiar #2 creeping up looking to take over the #1 spot and an injury that threatens to knock the #4 team out of the top 5.

So what does it all mean? Let’s break it down in the Week 10 edition of the NFL Power Rankings.

1. Cardinals (7-1) Last Week: 2

The Cardinals officially have the best record in football and although they caught a break not having to face Tony Romo they still played superb on both sides of the ball and held DeMarco Murray under 100 yards Sunday. They have beaten two of the best teams in football the last couple of weeks and for now are tops in the Rankings.

2. Patriots (7-2) Last Week: 3

Beat the Broncos by 22 on Sunday – who saw that coming? New England’s defense pressed Peyton Manning into uncharacteristic mistakes and Tom Brady is playing out of his mind right now. With the best record in the AFC the Pats are more like a 1B than a 2 in the Rankings.

3. Broncos (6-2) Last Week: 1

A week ago there was zero doubt about who was the best team in the AFC but now the Broncos have some company. The Broncos were exposed mightily by the Patriots but although they were dominated Sunday, this team is sure-fire top 3 the rest of the way.

4. Eagles (5-2) Last Week: 4

The Eagles beat the Texans Sunday but they have some serious issues going forward – my guess is they drop out of the top 5 soon. Nick Foles is gone for a while with a broken collar bone forcing Mark Sanchez to carry the torch – yikes!

5. Colts (6-3) Last Week: 7

The Colts have now won six of their last seven games and after a beat down of the Giants Monday night, they earn a top 5 spot. With Andrew Luck playing insane ball I don’t expect much of a drop-off if any for the rest of the season.

6. Lions (6-2) Last Week: 6

Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush should be back this week after Detroit’s bye making a good team even better. With the best defense in football the Lions are a serious threat the rest of the year.

7. Packers (5-3) Last Week: 9

The Packers had the bye week to right the ship but climb two spots largely because of the Week 9 ineptitude of the Ravens and the Cowboys. This is the Packers time of year – expect a late-season charge.

8. Seahawks (5-3) Last Week: 10

The Seahawks have won two straight games in less-than-spectacular fashion – in Week 10 it came against a pesky yet still winless Raiders team. Every team is bringing their best against the defending champs – nothing is going to be easy!

9. Chiefs (5-3) Last Week: 12

The Chiefs have won five of their last six games – they have dominated teams overt that span. Justin Houston is a sack-machine right now, Alex Smith is back to taking care of the ball and Jamaal Charles is being Jamaal Charles. KC is a scary team right now with everything clicking on both sides of the ball.

10. Steelers (6-3) Last Week: 18

The Steelers are on fire! Big Ben has tossed a record 12 TDs in his last two games and the team looks unstoppable offensively. The defense looks stellar as well – how about James Harrison?

11. Dolphins (5-3) Last Week: 15

The Fins are for real! Shutting out a good Chargers team on Sunday is no easy feat. The team is playing solid defense – obviously and the offense is clicking on all cylinders – averaging over 30 points per game the last six weeks.

12. Bengals (5-2-1) Last Week: 13

Pretty tough team to figure out – injuries have certainly played a part in that. Jeremy Hill filled in admirably for an injured Gio Bernard and helped the Bengals record a not-so-easy win against the Jags. Still the Bengals sit atop the AFC North and deserve a spot in the dirty dozen.

16. Chargers (5-4) Last Week: 11
17. Browns (5-3) Last Week: 16
18. Bills (5-3) Last Week: 19
19. 49ers (4-4) Last Week: 14
