Arizona Cardinals vs. New York Jets Free Gambling Prediction & Week 13 Preview

Cardinals vs Jets Betting?

The Cardinals have lost 7 straight games and they are down to playing their 3rd string QB, who threw 4 picks last week and will start again this week. The Jets were embarrassed in their last game on Thanksgiving and while they have the same record as the Cardinals at 4-7 they may still have a shot at the playoffs since they do not face a team that has a winning record for the rest of the season.

NFL lines has the Jets as 4.5-point home favorites with a total of 36.5.

In their last games the Cardinals lost to the St. Louis Rams 31-17 and the Jets lost to the New England Patriots 49-19.

This season the Cardinals are 4-6-1 ATS with an Over/Under record of 3-8 and the Jets are 6-5 ATS with an Over/Under record of 6-5.

The Cardinals will go with Ryan Lindley again, as they do not have much choice with their QB injuries.

He did throw fro 312 yards last week, but he was picked off 4 times and did not have a TD. A few guys stepped up at the WR position in the game besides Larry Fitzgerald and he has a tough task in this game, as even with all the problems for the Jets they do have the league’s 7th ranked pass defense. Lindley, obviously, has to avoid the iNT and hopes the Jets’ secondary struggled like they did last week when they gave up 323 passing yards.

Arizona got RB Beanie Wells back, but he only had 48 rushing yards last week averaging a paltry 2.8 yards per carry. Still, he may get back on track facing a Jets’ run defense that ranks 30th in the league.

Jets’ QB Mark Sanchez passed for over 300 yards against the Pats with 1 TD and 1 INT even though he has a less than stellar WR corps. In his last 5 games he only has 4 TD and has 5 INT and the Arizona pass D is solid ranking 4th in the league and they also have a decent pass rush with the 5th most sacks in the league. New York RB Shonn Greene had a decent game against New England and their solid run defense, but since the Jets got down big early they had to go to the air to attempt a comeback. The Jets would be wise to go to Greene early and often in this game since the Arizona run defense only ranks 23rd in the league and they were torched last week in the loss to the Rams.

In some betting trends for this non-conference match up the Cardinals are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games, 1-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, and they have an Under record of 5-1 in their last 6 road games.

The Jets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home, and they have an Over record of 11-5 in their last 16 games facing a team with a losing record.

Jason’s Pick: I have to go with the Jets, as even though they were schooled at home in their last game they will come back in this game and play well, especially on offense, and they will win and cover sending the Cardinals to their 8th straight loss.
