2013 Denver Broncos Complete Season Schedule | Handicapping

Broncos Schedule – NFL Football

Next up. The Denver Broncos. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.

2013 Regular Season Opponents

Thu, Sep 5 vs Baltimore – The season for Peyton Manning and the Broncos starts with a home date against he defending Super Bowl champion Ravens, who Denver lost to in the playoffs last season.

Sun, Sep 15 @ New York Giants – This game is Manning facing Manning with Payton visiting the Big Apple to face his little brother Eli. The Giants only ranked 28th in the league last season in pass defense and if they struggle in this game Payton will have a big game.

Mon, Sep 23 vs Oakland – The first AFC West game is at home facing the Raiders, who they crushed last season at home. The RB issue for the Broncos is a concern, but rookie Montee Ball may be the #1 back and he may have a big game against a suspect Oakland run defense.

Sun, Sep 29 vs Philadelphia – Hitting the road to play in Philly and what QB will the solid Denver defense, which ranked 3rd last season in both pass and run defense, face?

Sun, Oct 6 @ Dallas – 2nd straight week facing a NFC East opponent and Von Miller and the Broncos’ defense has to contain Tony Romo, who has a lot of pressure in him this season. The Dallas defense struggled last season against the pass and run.

Sun, Oct 13 vs Jacksonville – The Jaguars were only 1-7 on the road last season and their run defense was terrible.

Sun, Oct 20 @ Indianapolis – Manning is going back to Indy facing new Colts’ star QB Andrew Luck. Ball and the backfield may get a lot of touches in this game, as the Indianapolis run defense was torched last season.

Sun, Oct 27 vs Washington – At home to face the Skins and RG3 and the Broncos’ defense will really be tested. However, Washington’s pass defense struggled last season and that may be their Achilles Heel this season, which is never good facing Manning and the dynamic Denver aerial attack.

BYE WEEK

Sun, Nov 10 @ San Diego – The Broncos head to sunny San Diego and will the Chargers be the one that was great for several years or the one that has struggled for the last 2? Last season Denver won in San Diego with Manning passing for over 300 yards.

Sun, Nov 17 vs Kansas City – The Chiefs may be a dark horse this season in the AFC West with Alex Smith at QB. Last season the Chiefs only won 1 away game.

Sun, Nov 24 @ New England – Dare I say AFC title preview? Wes Welker faces his old team, which is a definite marquee QB match up with Manning facing Tom Brady. The Broncos lost by 10 points at New England.

Sun, Dec 1 @ Kansas City – The Chiefs only won 1 home game last season and they lost to the Broncos in a low scoring defensive affair.

Sun, Dec 8 vs Tennessee – The Broncos’ run defense will be tested in this game facing Chris Johnson. However, the Titans were only 2-6 on the road last season and their pass defense only ranked 26th in the league.

Thu, Dec 12 vs San Diego – The last home game of the season facing the Chargers in a division match up. Last season at home the Broncos won by 7 points over the Bolts and they did it with their D forcing 2 forced fumbles by Phillip Rivers and picking him off twice.

Sun, Dec 22 @ Houston – 2 great passing offenses square up in this conference match up, but while the Denver pass defense was solid last season Houston’s struggled. Von Miller and the defense will have to pressure Texans’ QB Matt Schaub in this game. The Texans were 6-2 at home last season.

Sun, Dec 29 @ Oakland – Last game of the regular season and will Denver have the AFC West wrapped up? The Broncos won in Oakland last season and in both games facing the Raiders Manning threw for at least 310 yards.
