Kentucky Wildcats

This is about the best situation the Kentucky Wildcats could have asked for. Going on the road versus a Georgia team that just suffered a crushing loss. The Bulldogs may not be all there this Saturday. Kentucky maybe able to sneak up on the Bulldogs this week. Perhaps, but, I’m not counting on it.

Kentucky has a bad offense. They’ve only been able to put up 14.5 points in SEC play, and they haven’t fared much better on defense as they’ve given up 34 points per game in conference play. Now, give them credit though, they do have their moments defensively.

Against rival Louisville earlier in the season they only allowed 27 points. And even last week against Vanderbilt they only allowed 22 points. Defensively, they aren’t that bad…basically, it could be worse is what I’m driving at.

Georgia Bulldogs

How do you respond after last Saturday. Boy, oh boy, what to lose. Watching that live I couldn’t believe that 4th quarter. I couldn’t believe that Auburn was about to lose after controlling about 58 minutes of that game. Then I couldn’t believe what transpired after that. The Marshall Miracle. What a way to win and what a way to lose. Incredible stuff.

That’s a huge question mark going into this game. How will Georgia respond? Obviously, it wasn’t any old defeat where you can get over within 48 hours. This was a gut wrenching defeat. It’s going to take awhile to get over and it might linger into this game.

The saving grace in this game is, even if there is a hangover. Georgia is so talented that even at 70% they should handle Kentucky and beat them. Whether they cover is another story.

Danny’s FREE College Football Pick:

This is a tough spot. How do the Georgia Bulldogs respond against a bad Kentucky Wildcats team? Well, if Georgia comes out motivated and puts that terrible loss to Auburn behind them they should definitely cover, but I would have to think that they won’t be 100% up for this game.

Even with the heart wrenching loss, I believe Georgia will put that behind them and play a good enough game versus Kentucky. They have enough talent on the offensive side to put up points, and I believe their defense steps up and handles Kentucky.

With that said, I don’t trust the 24 point spread. That could go either way.

As I mentioned, I believe Georgia will score points on offense, but I don’t know if they’ll put up enough. But, Kentucky won’t. They should struggle to score on the offensive side, and I believe this game will go under.

There are a few unknowns in this game, and I don’t trust either team enough to pick them. So, I say go ahead and take the under. That looks to be the best play in this game.

Pick: Under 62.5
