Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. Florida State Seminoles Preview
Wake Forrest is off to a solid start and they already have a conference win beating North Carolina in their last game. Florida State is a HUGE 28-point home favorite in this ACC match up with a total of 55.
In their last games Florida State crushed Savannah State 55-0 and Wake Forrest beat North Carolina 28-27.
On the season Wake Forrest is 1-1 ATS with an O/U record of 0-1 and FSU is 0-1 ATS with an O/U record of 0-0.
The Seminoles are the big home favorite, but the last loss by FSU was at the hands of Wake and the Demon Deacons have won 4 of their last 6 games facing them.
Wake Forrest QB Tanner Price passed for 233 yards with 3 TD in the win over FSU last week and had a solid game against North Carolina last week passing for a career high 327 yards and was named ACC QB of the week. His main target is Michael Campanaro, who 13 catches for 164 yards and was the ACC’s WR of the week. FSU has an athletic secondary that has played well, but they have not been tested yet. Price will have to play well since the Demon Deacons do not feature much of a rushing attack, as Deandre Martin is their leading rusher with 87 yards and he only had 11 rushing yards in the win over UNC. 2nd leading rusher Josh Harris really struggled in the UNC game only averaging 1.9 yards per carry, but in last season’s win over FSU he rushed for 136 yards.
The Wake defense will have their work cut out for them in this game trying to stop FSU QB E.J. Manuel, who is an early season Heisman candidate. He has only played around 3 quarters since FSU since the Seminoles have played in a couple of blowouts.
FSU has a good rushing game and a solid set of WR’s, but this game will be their first game against a team from a big conference and it remains to be seen if the Seminoles are a legit BSC title contender.
