Last week I went 2-0 on premium plays and I’m 3-0 this week as of Friday monring. I have been on fire going 31-11-2 ATS the last eight Saturday’s. We are now 13-4 on POD’s in college football with Friday’s POD pending and an easy win last night on Rutgers -2 as they cruised to a 31-0 victory.

#5 Cincinnati vs. West Virginia (Cincinnati -9.5) (Friday 8:00pm et)

Zach Collaros will make his fourth straight start under center, but Tony Pike is expected to play at some point when Cincinnati plays host to West Virginia. Cincinnati is trying to go 10-0 for the first time in school history as well as beat the Mountainers at home for the first time ever. Freddy has another 13-4 POD on this game so make sure you check it out!

#7 Georgia Tech @ Duke (Gtech -9.5) (Saturday 12pm et)

Georgia Tech will try to win eight in a row for the first time in 43 years when they travel to play Duke. If Georgia Tech wins they lock up the ACC Coastal division title. Duke is not going to lay over and die though as they still need two wins to become bowl eligible, but they have dropped 5 straight to the Jackets.

#18 Penn State vs. Indiana (Penn State -25)(Saturday 12pm et)

Penn State lost to Ohio State last week, but they can still regroup with a win against Indiana and win out for a chance to get a Rose Bowl birth with a little bit of help. Indiana has never beaten Penn State and are not likely to change that on Saturday as Penn State cruises to an easy victory at home.

#3 Texas @ Baylor (Texas -23.5) (Saturday 12:00 pm et)

Texas will shoot for its 12th straight victory over Baylor when they travel to visit Baylor. Colt McCoy is starting to heat up which is a great sign and perfect timing. He threw for 470 yards in a win over UCF last week and with one more win he will tie a college record for career victories at 42.

#20 Wisconsin vs. Michigan (Wisconsin -8.5) (Saturday 12:00 pm et)

Michigan has gone in the tanks ever since the Big 10 schedule started. Can they turn it around against Wisconsin, I’m afraid not. The Badgers are quietly putting together a very strong season and that is all because of a solid running game and a stout defense. Michigan can score and lead the Big Ten in offense, but they can not stop anyone.

#15 Houston @ UCF (Houston -4.5)(Saturday 12:00 pm et)

Case Keenum’s making a push for the Heisman Trophy and to me it’s just ridiculous that he is even considered. I’m tired of these goofy ESPN “analysts” getting on ESPN trying to hype him up I’m sure he is good, but listen not only do they face some of the worst defenses out of Conference USA, but this team throws the ball literally 80% of the time. Anyone throwing the ball that much against weak defenses is going to look good. Is this line a possible trap? Houston only 4.5 point favorites @ UCF? Public will be all over this one, but not me.

#21 Virginia Tech @ Maryland (Vtech -18.5) (Saturday 1:00pm)

After losing two straight, Virginia Tech took it out on East Carolina. This week they get another easy match up against Maryland a team off four straight losses and is one of the worst in rushing offense and pass defense. Look for the Hokies to take advantage in those two spots and get another much needed win.

#22 BYU @ New Mexico (BYU -26.5) (Saturday 2:00pm et)

BYU was extremely impressive in a blowout win against Wyoming. This coming after they lost the match up with TCU. New Mexico is winless and owns one of the worst scoring offenses. I think BYU wins big as the sports odds indicate.

#9 USC vs. Stanford (USC -10.5)(Saturday 3:30pm et)

This game will decide who will join Arizona and Oregon in the race to the Pac-10 title. Yes, both these teams are a loss behind, but can get back in the mix wtih a win here on Saturday. The last time the two met @ USC Stanford pulled the amazing upset as 41 point underdogs back in 2007.

#6 Boise State vs Idaho (Boise -31.5) (Saturday 3:30 pm et)

With Idaho in the midst of its best season since 1999, the battle against Boise State figures to be a good one….Just Kidding. They are 31 point under dogs and let’s just be honest the Broncos are basically unbeatable on their blue smurf turf. Maybe it’s because those blue jerseys blend in with the turf. Whatever it is you just can’t beat them especially if you play in a lower conference.

#14 Miami @ North Carolina (Miami -3)(Saturday 3:30pm et)

If Georgia Tech wins early at Duke then Miami might not have much to play for in terms of the ACC title. If Miami does in fact win out they might have an outside chance at getting a bid to a BCS bowl. However, it won’t be easy against a very nasty Tarheel defense. Miami is 0-3 in Chapel Hill and UNC will be bowl eligible with a win.

#10 Iowa @ #11 Ohio State (Ohio State -16.5)(Saturday 3:30 pm et)

This match up lacks what it would have been before Northwestern gave Iowa their first loss of the season last week and knocked their starting QB out for the rest of the regular season. However, with a win they will make a trip to the Rose Bowl. Ohio State is heavily favored playing their best football right now and they have not been to the Rose Bowl since 1996. Call me crazy but I think Ohio State may just cover this spread with ease.

#23 Oregon State vs. Washington (Oregon State -13.5) (Saturday 3:30 pm et)

The Rodgers brothers have powered the Beavers’ offense, but they will need to play solid defense to contain the Huskies soon to be NFL QB Jake Locker. Locker leads all Pac-10 QB’s in total offense. I still think the Rodgers’ brothers are too much to stop.

#1 Florida @ South Carolina (Florida -17.5)(Saturday 3:30 pm et)

Florida locked up a spot in the SEC title game again. Now they travel to play the Gamecocks who at anytime are worthy of an upset. However, I don’t think it comes and even though Florida is not blowing out teams like they did a year ago this game might just be a statement game as they have not gone undefeated in the conference since 13 years ago.

#8 LSU vs. LA Tech (LSU -23) (Saturday 7:00pm et)

LSU will try to rebound from their conference loss to Alabama, and they picked a good team to do it against. LA Tech is not garbage, but against a big time program like LSU they will sure look like it. Look for LSU to take out the trash on Saturday as they take out their frustrations on an over matched LA tech team. LSU has won 20 straight nonconference games and I do not anticipate that to stop.

#2 Alabama @ Mississippi State (Alabama -12.5)(Saturday 7:00 pm et)

Alabama may not want to sleep in this match up as Miss State has come to play at home giving LSU a scare as well as Florida. Although Miss State is one of the basement teams in the SEC you may not notice in what I think will be a closer then you think type game. Alabama may be side tracked as they have already wrapped up a title game with Florida.

#4 TCU vs. #16 Utah (TCU -20) (Saturday 7:30 pm et)

This just may be the most important game of the week in relation to the BCS standings. TCU is an incredible 20 point favorites in a conference game against another ranked opponent. Utah has held 6 straight opponents under 20 points yet they are 20 point under dogs? May be too many points if you ask me as Utah is calling this their game of the year. However, they will have to score because TCU will spend a lot of time in the backfield.

#19 Oklahoma State vs. Texas Tech (Oklahoma State -4.5)(Saturday 8:00 pm et)

Which defense will step up to contain the attack? Oklahoma State has the edge on paper, but Texas Tech leads the series 21-12-3. Tech has been wildly inconsistent this year and I think the Cowboy will take this game at home.

#12 Pittsburgh vs. Notre Dame (Pitt -7) (Saturday 8:00 pm et)

Notre Dame is a joke and continues to be over rated by Vegas and anyone who backs them. I’m 4-0 fading Notre Dame this year and I’ll continue to do so as I pick my spots. I don’t necessarily like them not to cover this weekend as they should be angry, but then again I love this Pitt team. Pittsburgh is not going to let up and they should be able to do whatever they want on offense. If Pitt wins out they get the Big East title so the concentration is there.

#17 Arizona @ California (Cal -3) (Saturday 7:00 pm et)

Arizona starts a daunting four-game conference stretch that could end with the Wildcats headed to the Rose Bowl. However, it won’t be easy they have to travel to Cal, where they will cut a break without having to face Cal’ star RB Jahvid Best. Arizona has a three game losing streak in Cal and are under dogs once again.

#13 Oregon vs Arizona State (Oregon -17.5) (Saturday 10:20 pm et)

Oregon RB LeGarrette Blount returns from suspension. If you don’t recall because it seems like years ago Blount struck a Boise State player after their loss in the opening game of the season. The Ducks continue their Pac-10 title hopes against Arizona State as they will try to rebound from a tough loss to Stanford. Sun-Devils will be looking to win after they lost three straight as they try to keep their hopes alive for a bowl game. It would be much easier if Oregon did not lose last week.

One reply on “NCAA Football Week 11 Top 25 Gambling Matchups”

I am tired of people like Lou Holtz defending Notre Dame and Charlie Weiss as a good football program picking them every week to win games they really do not have a chance to.

Until they can go back to beating Navy on a regular basis, I will never pick them to win a game against a high ranked opponent.
