Baylor is riding a school-record 11-game winning streak, and has been especially dominant at home, outscoring five opponents by a combined score of 353-72.

The Sooners (7-1) will aim to derail the Bears offense, which currently leads the nation with averages of nearly 64 points and 718 offensive yards per game.

If anyone can beat Baylor at home, Oklahoma has the best chance. Its ball hawking defensive unit ranks 10th in the country in total defense and ninth in pass defense, and forced three turnovers while handing Texas Tech its first loss of the season the last time out.

But it’s not just the defense that’s getting it done for Oklahoma; the offense is doing its job as well.

A solid O-line and a bevy of running backs, including Damien Williams who ran 19 times for 97 yards and added 30 receiving yards and two TDS for Oklahoma against the Red Raiders, has been getting it done.

Oklahoma will lean on that rushing attack to control the clock against Baylor, keeping its offense off the field as much as possible.

The eighth-ranked Sooners are 21-1 all-time against Baylor and have won two straight since losing 36-20 to Texas on Oct. 12, but this year’s Bears are a better team.

Led by quarterback Bryce Petty, who has thrown 18 touchdowns and one just interception while completing 70 percent of his passes, the Bears remained unbeaten after thumping Kansas in their last outing.

The Bears (7-0) rolled up 743 yards in total offense in a 59-14 win, and kept their national title hopes alive.

And while the Baylor offense has gotten most of the attention, the Bears defense has been solid, ranking 11th in the country with 316 yards allowed per game.

Matt’s Free Prediction

If the Sooners want any chance to upset the Bears at home, they will need to get out in front early and score often, as they have won 40 consecutive games when leading at halftime and are 78-1 under coach Bob Stoops when scoring at least 40 points, including 8-0 against Baylor.

I expect this one to be close, but Baylor is just a little better.

Baylor 45, Oklahoma 35
