Oklahoma State has had a tremendous season with the exception of a hiccup at West Virginia.

Their most recent win came against then-fourth-ranked Baylor, 49-17.

Quarterback Clint Chelf keyed the team’s offense against a good Baylor defense, completing 19 of 25 passes for 370 yards and three scores. His top target on the day was Tracy Moore, who brought in five passes for 126 yards and a score. Running back Jeremy Smith led the rushing attack with 71 yards on 12 carries.

In total, the team churned out 594 yards of offense in getting their 49 points.

The defense had a strong effort against one of the top offenses in college football, bending but not breaking as they allowed 453 yards of offense but surrendered only 17 points.

A big part of that was getting the Bears off the field when they needed to, stopping them on 11 of 18 third down attempts and all three of their fourth down attempts.

The unit also forced the only three turnovers in the game. The defense’s day looks even better when factoring in that they held the high-scoring Bears to just three points through the first three quarters of the game, helping the team to a 35-3 lead through 45 minutes.

Oklahoma’s last win came in a tough place to play as the team outlasted Kansas State in Manhattan by a score of 41-31.

It was quarterback Trevor Knight under center for the Sooners in that one. He completed 14 of 20 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown with an interception, adding 82 yards and a score on 14 rushing attempts.

The star of the day for the offense was running back Brennan Clay, who ran the ball 31 times for 200 yards and a pair of scores. In total, the team churned out 472 yards of offense.

The team’s defense surrendered just 372 yards to the Wildcats, but simply had no answer for receiver Tyler Lockett, who brought in 12 balls for 278 yards and three score.

Outside of Lockett’s stellar day, the unit didn’t have much trouble, allowing just 70 additional rushing yards, while holding the Wildcats to an average of just 1.1 yards per carry including sacks.

Oklahoma has dominated this rivalry, holding an 82-18-7 advantage all-time, including wins in nine of the last 10 years. Given their history, getting 9.5 points is simply outrageous, and is too much to pass up in this instance, even in Stillwater.

The play: Oklahoma +9.5
