After dropping 12 of the last 13 games to USC, the Bruins have won back to back meetings for the first time since 1998.

The Trojans are led by junior quarterback Cody Kessler, who was thrown for 29 touchdowns this year with only three interceptions. Kessler has thrown for a remarkable 18 touchdowns in the last four games and nine in his last two.

He will look to target receiver Nelson Agholor as much as possible after earning Pac-12 offensive player of the week honors.

Agholor caught 16 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns in last weeks 38-30 win over California.

In last year’s matchup the Trojans struggled in all aspects of the game. The offensive line let the Bruins sack Kessler a remarkable six times while only throwing for 174 yards.

On the defensive side USC allowed UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley to rush for 80 yards along with two touchdowns.

USC will have to avoid being penalized after having three touchdowns get called back last week and are averaging 9.2 penalties per game which leads the Pac-12.

They will need safety Su’a Cravens to step up and keep the Bruins out of the end zone. He has a team leading 14 tackles for loss and the defense overall is only allowing 23.3 points per game, which is good for 2nd in the Pac-12.

UCLA comes into this game off a bye and on a four game win streak following an impressive win two weeks ago against No. 12 Arizona. Quarterback Brett Hundley has been a huge part of their recent offensive dominance with 13 total touchdowns in their last five games while only turning it over twice.

He has not only been dominating through the air, but also on the ground with five rushing touchdowns.

The run game has been a big factor for the Bruins this year. They rank 29th in the country averaging almost 220 yards per game. Running back Paul Perkins averages 117.2 yards per game which ranks 2nd in the conference.

Despite their two losses coming in back to back weeks against ranked opponents they still have a chance to win the Pac-12, but in order to do that they have to defeat a solid USC team.

The Bruins defense will look to pick up right where they left off last year against the Trojans allowing only 14 points.

Anchored by senior linebacker Erick Kendricks, who has led the Bruins in tackles the past two seasons, UCLA will try to slow down the dangerous offensive attack of the Trojans.

NCAA Football Handicapping Trends

  • UCLA is 4-0 ATS following a bye.
  • USC is 2-9 ATS vs a team with a winning record.
  • UCLA is 5-1 ATS in the month of November.

Week 13 NCAA Football Prediction

With the Bruins coming off a bye week and playing at home look for them to come out and build up a lead in the first half. They are 23-0 when leading at halftime under Jim Mora.

UCLA is the #1 rated team in the country in red zone scoring at 97.4%.

Brett Hundley will continue his hot streak scoring through the air and on the ground.

4* Free NCAA Football Betting Pick: UCLA -4

The Bruins know that a win will make things very interesting in the Pac-12 South knocking the Trojans to 7-4 overall with a 6-3 conference record and no longer in sole possession of 1st. With that in mind UCLA knows that is essentially a must win game.

Final Week 13 Score: UCLA 31 — USC 21

Expect a big game from Brett Hundley and the offense. USC will struggle to stop the run which will open the passing game.
