Oklahoma is coming off a 31-26 win over Texas, but their offensive production in that game doesn’t nearly match what the scoreboard said at the end of that one.

The Sooners were able to rack up only 11 first downs and 232 yards of total offense in the game, managing only one first down in the first half.

As for Bill Snyder’s Wildcats, they are 4-1 with a 2-0 record in the Big 12, with their lone loss coming in a 20-14 defeat at the hands of Auburn. The Wildcats were off last weekend, and beat up on Texas Tech to the tune of 45-13 prior to their break.

Kansas State quarterback Jake Waters has done his best Collin Klein impression this season, completing 65 percent of his passes for 1,206 yards, seven touchdowns, and three interceptions, and also churning out a team-leading 320 rushing yards, with six rushing scores.

In the win over Texas Tech, Waters threw for 290 yards and four scores, rushing for 105 more yards and an additional touchdown.

Oklahoma is able to generate a lot of offense by running the ball as well, and it starts with running back Samaje Perine, who ranks second in the Big 12 with 568 yards, including a league-leading nine touchdowns. The Sooners have been good at defending the run but need to work on their ability to stop the pass, as they’ve surrendered 275.7 yards per game and 10 touchdowns – the 10 passing touchdowns allowed rank last in the Big 12.

FREE Oklahoma vs. Kansas State Pick:

The talent gap between these programs isn’t nearly as wide as this number would indicate. In fact, some would argue that the Kansas State may even be the better team at this very moment. As for the number itself, Oklahoma has had trouble building up margins this season, while Kansas State has ways of keeping big games like this one competitive.

[dfads params=’groups=63739&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The under is also worth a look, even though the track record of when these two teams meets up skews heavily towards the over. The Oklahoma offense has struggled of late, and Kansas State will be content to keep the ball on the ground for much of the game, which will keep the clock moving.

The Wildcats are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven trips to Norman, and the road team is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings between these programs.

The under is 5-2 in the Wildcats’ last seven games in the month of October, and it is 7-3 in the Wildcats’ last 10 games following an ATS victory.
