Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Missouri Tigers Free Gambling Prediction & Week 7 Preview

Crimson Tide vs Tigers NCAA Football Spread/Handicapping

Its funny, Alabama continues to win easily but fails to impress…kind of.  They are just 2-3 ATS this season and as the wins mount they seem to be not a very interesting part of the BCS conversation…perhaps it is because they are too obvious.

Alabama

The conversation will likely simmer some more with LSU losing last week, making it seemingly probable that the Crimson Tide will make it to the SEC Championship Game.

This week at Mizzou should be a bit of a test. It is a road game, in an unfamiliar environment so you never know.  To this point they have been so efficient on defense that their offense has rarely had to do any heavy lifting.

How is this for a discrepancy?  The Tide are 17th in scoring at 40ppg while ranking just 69th in yardage.

That is a lot of short fields being provided by the nation’s #1 defense.

The defense is going to be helped by the fact that Missouri will be missing their starting QB.  Thinking about  a backup preparing for the Tide makes you want to cringe and I am actually surprised the number isn’t bigger as a result.

This could be a disaster for the Tigers if Alabama brings it’s A game.

Missouri

Welcome to the SEC.  I thought Mizzou would have enough juice on offense to be competitive this year but they have lost all three of their SEC contests including a home game against Vanderbilt last weekend – which also cost them starting QB James Franklin. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Things haven’t exactly gone as planned with the only thing separating them from an O for the opening season being a home date against SEC laggard Kentucky.

The loss of QB Jonathan Franklin kills them for this week even though Franklin has been disappointing this season.

With him they had someone experienced and mobile who should have been able to handle the Tide a little bit.

Without him they go with untested Corbin Berkstresser who could only complete 30% of his passes against Vandy.  Hopefully coach Saban will show some mercy on the kid if things go the way I think they will.

This game could probably go in a few different ways but none of them are great for Missouri.  Hopefully they can get out of this one unscathed with a great learning experience for their QB of the future.

Nothing has really worked out for this team this year so it is a lot to expect things to click into gear with the #1 team in the nation coming to town.
