Team records:
USC: 15-9 SU, 10-11-2 ATS
Washington: 17-8 SU, 8-16 ATS

The USC Trojans will hit the road to take on the Washington Huskies in a PAC10 tilt at the Bank of America Arena in Seattle, Washington on Thursday night.

The two teams last met back on Jan 23, as the Trojans routed the Huskies 87-61.

Last year’s PAC 10 champions Washington, will try to stretch their home winning streak to seven, winning five of their last six including their first road victory with a 78-61 win over Stanford on Saturday. Isaiah Thomas scored 20 points and dished out six assists, while Quincy Pondexter added 18 points and nine rebounds in the win. Washington had not won on the road since beating USC on Feb. 21, 2009. The Huskies were 20-of-26 at the foul line and 6-of-17 from 3-point range, while out rebounding their opponent 43-38.

Washington started the year 10-1 through the end of the non-conference schedule—the Pac-10’s only nationally ranked team—then dropped three of their first four conference games and are currently sitting in fourth place.

As for the Trojans, they have won each of their last three outings with all three wins coming at home, including a 68-64 victory and a season sweep of UCLA on Sunday. Dwight Lewis scored 23 points while reserve Donte Smith matched his career-high with 12 points off the bench in the win. The Trojans were 46.3 percent from the field offensively, as they bore down hard on the Bruins forcing 20 turnovers, and holding UCLA to a poor 7-of-26 shooting performance from long range. The Trojans are terrible away from the Galen Center this season, recording just one win in six contests, four of those loses coming by way of PAC 10 foes.

USC is third in the conference, one game ahead of tonight’s opponent.

Southern California’s physical defense should cause Washington a little trouble, but the Trojans must not allow the Huskies to get out in transition off misses or turnovers.
