NCAA Basketball Sunday Free Picks

BetUS NCAA Basketball Sports Betting Matchup:

Kentucky Wildcats (11-3 SU, 5-3-1 ATS) at Louisville Cardinals (8-3 SU, 5-6 ATS)
Freedom Hall, Louisville — 4:30 PM ET
Here are some of the NCAA basketball sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* KY has won and covered three of the last four meetings
* Six of the last seven meetings have gone UNDER the total
* The last three meetings in Louisville have gone UNDER the total
* LOU has had the shooting edge in four of the last six meetings
* LOU has had the rebounding edge in four of the last six meetings
* KY has made more three-pointers in four of the last five meetings

A lot of people don’t expect the Cardinals to run and hide in this game. Kentucky, even in some difficult times, has managed to get things together to make this meeting a tussle, winning and covering three of the last four meetings. Rick Pitino is having a hard time getting the Cards to play without mistakes, and the team is only shooting 43% from the field. Kentucky, however, is having all kinds of problems handling the basketball, giving up 17.9 turnovers a game, which ranks them right near the bottom of all teams who appear on the “big board.” Kentucky has been pampered with recent opponents, and Patrick Petterson got “fat” in the last three, hitting 33 of 40 shots. He’ll be contested a bit more here. This Louisville team has experienced recent slip-ups against UNLV and Minnesota, but this game will have their full attention.

Our PREDICTION: LOUISVILLE BY 24

BetUS NCAA Basketball Sports Betting Matchup:

Illinois Fighting Illini (13-1 SU, 7-4 ATS) at Michigan Wolverines (10-3 SU, 5-2-1 ATS)
Crisler Arena, Ann Arbor, MI — Noon ET
Here are some of the NCAA basketball sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* MICH has covered five of the last seven meetings
* Four of the last six meetings have gone OVER the total
* MICH has covered the last five meetings as the home team
* MICH has had the shooting edge in five of the last seen meetings
* MICH has had the rebounding edge in seven of the last ten meetings
* ILL has made more three-pointers in five of the last seven meetings

Illinois’ rebuilding project is ahead of schedule; that much was confirmed for Bruce Weber’s team after the 71-67 road win over Purdue in the Big Ten opener. The Illini shot only 43% from the field in that one, and still found a way to come out ahead. These youngsters are holding opponents to under 40% shooting on the season, and they’ve been hitting 48% themselves. Michigan, which has beaten UCLA and Duke already this season, may still have more upside, even after the disappointing home loss against Wisconsin in their own conference opener. The Wolverines turn it over just 11 times a game, which means they’re really getting it in John Beilein’s up-tempo style, and they sink three-pointers with abandon (8.8 a game). Meanwhile, Illinois has a hard time making its free throws (just 57.4%), which could be deadly on the road.

Our PREDICTION: MICHIGAN BY 10
