The Golden Gophers dominate this historical series, winning nine of the last 10 meetings, including four times on the road. The Golden Gophers play solid “D,” allowing 64.1 points per game, and their offense cracks the national top 30 in field goal percentage and three-point percentage.
The Golden Gophers have also been good to bettors of late, beating the spread in five of their last six games. That’s no small feat considering there were 17 and 14-point spreads during that run.
Penn State does have an offensive force that Minnesota doesn’t have in Taylor Battle, but he may not be 100 per cent for Thursday’s game after battling stomach problems. 
Either way, he won’t be enough. Minnesota should cover the six points.
