KU Jayhawks vs OSU Cowboys Gambling & NCAA Handicapping Prediction

Kansas vs Oklahoma State CBB Picks

The Jayhawks have already clinched another conference title under coach Bill Self. Preseason they were supposed to have to battle teams like Oklahoma State for that title but as the season progressed their overwhelming talent began to shine through. [ad-4468020]

Kansas

They may not always look it but this is a fantastic offensive team, one of few in the nation that makes more than 50% of its shots.

This will still be a test though as OSU is kind of desperate.

Jayhawks freshman Andrew Wiggins must be averaging the least impressive 16ppg of any player in the country.

He still gets all the attention but odds are that it might be PF Perry Ellis leading the team in scoring if he was averaging similar minutes. Ellis has really expanded his game this season including even making the occasional 3 point shot.

Against a team that is weak on the interior he should have a chance for a big game.

This Jayhawks team is beatable but you have to play well. They have not covered in their last two conference road games and this one could be the toughest of them all.

They are a short favourite which is very enticing, because it doesn’t happen all that often. I am just not sure this is the spot you want.

Oklahoma State

Not much has gone right for Oklahoma State the past couple of months. Losses have been mounting, star players have been getting suspended for attacking fans and they are in serious jeopardy of not even making the NCAA tournament.

However, they can turn a lot of that around if they can beat Kansas over the weekend.

It may be just one win but it is a statement to everyone, including themselves.

Since coming back from suspension Marcus Smart has had two pretty good games – but those were against Texas Tech and TCU.

6 weeks ago he had a near triple double in a 2 point loss in Lawrence and if he can channel that kind of performance they might be able to get the victory this time. He is the key to unlocking the potential of this team – 4 other players scored in double figures that day.

Time and again we see what a powerful force motivation is. This game could make or break the Cowboys chances of coming anywhere close to expectation this year and I think they can seize the moment.

This might be the best back and forth battle since Syracuse vs. Duke.

Spread Pick: Oklahoma State +1.5
O/U Pick: N/A
Score Prediction: Oklahoma State 84 – Kansas 79
