NCAA Hoops Wagering – Loyola-Maryland vs. No. 20 Davidson

The Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds (2-3 SU 0-3 ATS, 2-1 O/U) are coming off a convincing 64-54 win over James Madison in the BetUS Sportsbook on Monday at the NIT Season Tip-Off in a third-round game at Belk Arena. The Davidson Wildcats (4-1 SU, 1-1 ATS, 1-1 O/U) used a second half scoring flurry by Stephen Curry to overwhelm Florida Atlantic 76-60 at the same tournament on Monday.

Tonight, both teams will be trying to pick up a win for fans and BetUS NCAA college basketball sports betting enthusiasts when they battle at Belk Arena.

The Greyhounds got 23 points from junior guard Jamal Barney and 18 from junior point guard Brett Harvey in their win over James Madison and used a swarming defense to limit their opponents to a dismal 29.3 percent shooting mark from the field.

Bryant Barr drained a pair of 3-pointers and Curry scored nine straight points to push the 20th-ranked Wildcats to victory against

Davidson went scoreless for just over two minutes to start the second half, but Barr drained a pair of 3-pointers, sandwiched around a traditional 3-point play from Curry got the Wildcats on their way.

A flurry of nine consecutive points from Curry pushed a five-point lead to 19 with just over 11 minutes to play and Florida Atlantic never got closer than 10 the rest of the way.

Curry scored 39 points on 13-of-21 shooting but his teammates shot just 13-for-50.

“We came out and missed some shots early but we dominated the boards and got second opportunities,” said Curry, who has now scored 25 or more points in his last nine games dating back to last season.

Analysis: With no line posted for this matchup, I’m going to advise BetUS NCAA college basketball bettors everywhere that while Davidson will almost certainly win tonight’s matchup, bettors shouldn’t expect some sort of cakewalk.

Just as I predicted in their last game, the Davidson Owls are good but need more than Stephen Curry to cover the spread most nights.

Take the Davidson Wildcats to win this matchup by approximately 14 points.
