Wisconsin was very impressive in beating Kentucky and now they will look to close out a championship.

Wisconsin

Well they beat Kentucky…so now what. Is it possible that Wisconsin really is the best team in the country?

[dfads params=’groups=63742&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

I am not sure about that, but I feel like I do know that the Badgers are good enough to beat Duke and claim a championship.

Throughout the Tournament they have proved again and again that they are very good and the last couple of games they have proved that they can still score against elite defenses.

Against Duke they will not have much of a problem so their chances will hinge on a better defensive performance than they delivered in December.

One of the reasons Wisconsin has done so well is because their top players have been coming up big in big moments.

In case you have been under a rock that is Sam Dekker and Frank Kaminsky.

Dekker has been mixing up his inside and outside game while playing with confidence we have never seen before; Kaminsky is showing why even though he might not be the best pro prospect he is this year’s player of the year.

Duke

The Blue Devils had a most easy time dispatching Michigan State on Saturday.

They might have started sluggishly but once they got things rolling it was clear they were the better team and they won going away covering the number easily.

Duke has to be pretty psyched to be facing the Badgers again instead of Kentucky. Sure that game where they beat them in Madison seems like a long time ago but I am not sure that Wisconsin has bridged the gap.

However, that 10 point margin probably is not a fair representation of the two teams playing on Monday night.

The composition of Duke has changed a lot since that first game against Wisconsin. In that first contest the second leading scorer for the Blue Devils was Rasheed Sulaimon who was kicked off the team weeks ago.

Jahlil Okafor revealed then that he was going to be a force to be reckoned with but Justise Winslow was a non-factor.

Does the way they play now make them better?  Probably.  Does it make it easier for them to beat Wisconsin?  We shall see.

NCAAB Betting Trends:

  • DUKE are 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 Mon. games.
  • Over is 9-3 in DUKE last 12 vs. Big Ten.
  • Under is 19-7 in DUKE last 26 neutral site games.

4* Free NCAAB Betting Prediction:  Wisconsin

This will be another exciting game but I think the Badgers get it done.

NCAA Score Prediction:  Wisconsin 77 – Duke 72

They can body up on Okafor and their smart play will make it tough for the Blue Devils to get the things they are used to. Look for someone other than Dekker or Kaminsky to step up.
