San Antonio Spurs vs. OKC Thunder Gambling Odds & NBA Free Prediction

Spurs vs Thunder NBA Picks

There is no team hotter in the league right now than the San Antonio Spurs. They have been beating the good and the not to good teams and put up one of the most unexpectedly lopsided performances of the season when they visited the Pacers and trounced them by 26 points. [ad-4468020]

San Antonio

Even in a very strong Western Conference they have been distancing themselves lately. This looks like the toughest game they will have between now and the end of the season.

After a few less than stellar performance Tony Parker rose to the occasion and led the Spurs past Indiana Monday night. His scoring is down this year compared to last a function of les accuracy but also less attempts. Like so many players on the Spurs he plays like he is pacing himself.

It is amazing how they can be so strong during the regular season without leaning heavily on their top players.

The Spurs are on such a good roll I just don’t see how you can really bet against them right now, at least not with any confidence.

They may be on the road but that is where they are really a good bet at 24-13 ATS. This team looks unbeatable and against a beat up Thunder team they have to be the play.

Oklahoma City

Compared to the Spurs the Thunder are practically slumping having won only 8 of their last 10.

They are in second behind the Spurs in the conference and if they have any hope of catching San Antonio for that top spot they have to win this one. They have won all three meetings with San Antonio this year.

Against anyone else that would probably mean a more spirited effort but the Spurs are so clinical I am not sure they pay attention to that stuff.

Check the injury news because the Thunder could be missing three starters – Russell Westbrook, Thabo Sefalosha and Kendrick Perkins – for this one, and Westbrook’s primary backup Reggie Jackson is dinged up too. Those injuries test OKC’s depth.

One of the players who has been getting some run as a result is Caron Butler, remember him. This team seems to be more focused on getting healthy than chasing down San Antonio at this point.

If the Thunder were healthy they would have been a nice value to stop the Spurs amazing winning streak. KF will play but the rest of the gang is just a little too beat up to back them right now – against another team, maybe.

Hopefully they get healthy and can battle San Antonio in the playoffs.
