San Antonio

I am sure they would have preferred if the public had laid off the King with regards to CrampGate but nevertheless now it is up to San Antonio to steal back the series from the Heat in Miami.

The Spurs seemed a little tentative down the stretch in G2 but they are certainly not going to back down on the road.

In G2 it was the Spurs who did not get enough support for their Big Three. Duncan, Parker and Ginobili all scored 18 or better but nobody else scored more than 9 points in the close loss.

Danny Green needs to do more to make himself available for shots as he made 2 of his 3 three pointers.

I think he should be able to take a few more turns against LeBron so they can get more out of Kawhi Leonard as well.
The line has flipped in Miami with the Spurs now a 4 point underdog.  They are always tempting in that role but the success rate has not been good and if you will recall since the first round they have not been a great bet on the road.

This is a tough resilient team but you have to wonder if the Heat might be getting into their head a little bit.

In a game they just had to have the Heat came up big. I don’t to be too hyperbolic but it would have been tough for Miami to win a series against San Antonio if they had fallen behind 2-0.

Thanks to a very good defensive effort and some gutty plays down the stretch they got the victory to pull even in the series.

Now they have to keep up the same kind of intensity at home. Easier said than done for a team that does not always look interested.

You had to know that LeBron was not going to take all that cramping criticism lying down, right?

He responded with a tremendous G2 with 35 points and 10 rebounds.  Perhaps equally impressive late in the game he was willing to let some of his teammates do the heavy lifting rather than force the action.

There was a Rashard Lewis sighting at the Alamo with Lewis scoring 14 points and providing Miami with an outside threat. Not sure he can keep it up though.

Miami as a short favourite at home is super tempting. LeBron is going to need to be huge but I like the Heat at home because I think role players like Mario Chalmers are more likely to perform well at home. Also, I feel like Wade is due.

His highest scoring game of the playoffs was at home in the Brooklyn series.

He will win one game for them in this series. This is the one.
