San Antonio got back to winning last night against Phoenix after a debacle at the Clippers to start the week. Knowing they had a back to back they did it in impressive fashion by not overextending their starters and without PG Tony Parker who has a shin thing and is not expected to play in this one either. The Spurs are off to a great start at 20-5, sitting at the top of the Southeast division. This could be a good spot opportunity though.
With Parker out it was Patty Mills not Corey Joseph that was the recipient of extra playing time. Mills didn’t disappoint playing 30 minutes with zero turnovers. He only scored 12 points but with veterans Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan scoring 41 between them the Spurs were covered.

Coach Popovich did some weird things with his roster last night but I am guessing it was part in anticipation of this game the following night.
San Antonio has only been an underdog one time all season. It was a road game against the Thunder which they lost outright and against the number. This is game number two and I like the Warriors chances (The Spurs were 8-12 SU as underdogs last season).

Also, you never know what Coach Pop will do. If they get down early they might just pack it in because they have a home date with the Thunder on Saturday.
Golden State
The Warriors are still battling consistency but they are good at home and started their current home stretch with a solid 11 point win over New Orleans. These teams have already met once this season with San Antonio winning a game played in the 70s.
That is definitely not the Warriors style but the fact they kept it close on the road shows these teams match up pretty favourably. This one should be more entertaining but perhaps equally as close as that two point victory.
Golden State welcome back Andre Iguodala back in that victory against the Pelicans which really helps with their depth. You could argue that he was their most indispensable player before he got hurt opening up things with his shooting while also being a strong defensive presence.
PG Steph Curry is lighting it up lately but SG Klay Thompson has been fading the last few games. It might have been unreasonable to think that the could jump his scoring as much as he did so early in the season.
Golden State is tough to beat at home and I think in this one they will get more of the pace they want. It is never easy betting against the Spurs but with a short number is the time you want to do it.
Thompson should break out of his slump and Iggy should look a little less rusty and be a factor in this one.
