ATS Matchup Insight | CP Insider Gambling Preview

Orlando

Three seems to be the word of the day as they have also won only three road games this season. Facing off against one of the bets team in the West that is not a number that is likely to change Monday night.

They have been profitable on the road though at 9-6 ATS, the key is finding the right spots.

Orlando struggles to score and it looks like they are going to be missing a key cog in Nikola Vucevic, who has an injured ankle. It is a huge blow as he is their second leading scorer and best rebounder. Without him there will be even more pressure on gunner Arron Afflalo who to his credit has yet to fade but has struggled in the teams recent losses not reaching his ppg average of 21 once.

There will be a lot of pressure on him.

As you can see from the first paragraph Orlando is delivering a small profit on the road so you don’t want to dismiss them completely. Also, they are 13-12 ATS this season as an underdog so they seem to have a nasty habit of playing better than expected in a variety of situations.

I just doubt this is one of them.

Los Angeles

L.A. got their butts handed to them the last time out at San Antonio, in fact the road has not been kind to them lately as they have three losses in their last 4 away from Staples. Given those performances they should be fired up to be back at home and facing a team they can dominate.

They are 14-3 SU at home this season but only one of those losses have come against a team with a losing record so they are taking care of business on their way to leading the Pacific Division

In the loss to San Antonio the Clippers lost PG Chris Paul with a separated shoulder.

He is expected to miss 3-5 weeks and the Clips are lucky that they have one of the better backup points in Darren Collison, a former starter for other teams. Still the loss is a critical one and they will need the rest of the team to step up now that both members of their starting backcourt are on the shelf (J.J. Reddick has been out for a while).

The Clippers are the rare team performing well and earning for bettors in the NBA this year.

At home they almost never lose but they are not making much money for you there. Still this could be a good opportunity if the oddsmakers have overestimated the impact of Paul.

They can’t win a championship without him but against a team like Orlando they will be just fine.

Score Prediction: Los Angeles 99 – Orlando 87
