The Spurs are in the second spot in the Western Conference standings, not far behind the Oklahoma City Thunder. Phoenix started the season slowly, but a recent run has the Suns just one game out of the playoff chase.

San Antonio has won seven of their last eight games overall. Gregg Poppovich has been resting starters from time to time just to keep the team fresh, but because of the depth of this team they keep on winning.
Tim Duncan didn’t play in Sunday’s win over the 76ers because Coach Poppovich wanted him to get some rest, and he is listed as questionable in this one. Tony Parker leads the Spurs in scoring at 19.5 points per game. He is also averaging a career high eight assists per game.

Phoenix has won six of their last eight games overall. The team won at Indiana last Friday and at Cleveland on Sunday in impressive fashion. Marcin Gortat is having a breakout season at the center spot. Gortat averages 16 points and 10 rebounds per contest. Channing Frye and Jared Dudley have both been heating up from three-point range of late, which has helped this team go on a nice run.
