NBA Picks: Raptors vs. Pistons Gambling Lines & Preview

NBA Gambling: Toronto vs Detroit

The Detroit Pistons (26-44) host the Toronto Raptors (42-28) in an Eastern Conference match-up. We have two teams that are struggling recently in this game, but the Raptors are small favorites to win.

Toronto are 5-11 in their last 16 games.

They’ve been beating the terrible teams, including a win last time out against the Knicks (106-89), but the Raptors are losing to everyone else the past month.

Detroit are just 3-7 in their last 10, but they’ve won two games in a row, which includes a win over the Bulls (107-91) and an overtime win over the Celtics (105-97) this past Sunday night.

Toronto is relatively healthy, but they may still be without Kyle Lowry tonight. Lowry has missed the last two games and despite practising, he’s questionable for tonight’s game, so watch for the line-ups.

Vasquez has started in his place and seen over 34+ minutes in the last two games, but he hasn’t produced like I would have thought he would. Lou Williams has also been struggling with his shot lately.

Williams is just 7 of 32 from the field in the Raptors last 3 games. DeMar DeRozan has been consistent as of late for the Raps, as he has now scored 20+ points in 9 of the last 10 games for Toronto.

Valanciunas has stepped it up too, as he now has 3 double-doubles in the Raptors last 4 games. He should have no problem putting up big numbers tonight, as Detroit ranks 30th against defending the C position.

Detroit is banged up. Jennings is done for the year, Monroe is dealing with a knee injury and Williams has been out with an illness. Monroe and Williams are both questionable tonight, so watch the line-ups.

If Monroe can’t suit up, the Raptors will have too much of an advantage inside. Amir Johnson isn’t having a great season, but he’s averaging 11.7 PPG and 6.7 RPG against Detroit this season.

Injuries are hurting Detroit, but Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond are playing incredibly well. Jackson had a triple-double 3 games ago and he was 1 rebound away from a triple-double in Detroit’s last game.

Drummond is coming off a big game, as he put up 18 points, 22 rebounds and 4 blocks against Boston on Sunday night.

Drummond doesn’t play defense, but he’ll put up a lot of points in the paint on Toronto.

Free NBA Picks: Toronto Raptors vs. Detroit Pistons

Toronto is much better at home (24-12) than on the road (18-16). Toronto plays terrible defense against the PG position and Jackson is likely going to flirt with another triple-double in this match-up.

Detroit Pistons +2 (-110)

I expect both C’s to bang low in the paint and put up big numbers as well. The Raptors know that they’ll win the Atlantic division and they really don’t need to push that hard over these final 12 games.
