The Miami Heat will try and even the series at one game apiece on Wednesday night in Game 2 of their best-of-seven matchup against the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals. Tip-off from the United Center is set for 8:30 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

Miami’s euphoria over its five-game series win over Boston in the semifinals was quickly snuffed-out in a 103-82 romp at the hands of Chicago in Game 1 of this series on Sunday night. The Heat failed to cover as a 2 ½-point road underdog and the total went ‘over’ the 180 ½-point line. The 19-point loss was Miami’s worse defeat since falling to San Antonio 125-95 on March 4.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade combined for just 33 points after each has averaged over 26 points a game in the postseason. Chris Bosh led the way with 30 points and nine rebounds, but the Heat scored just 15 points off the bench verse 28 for Chicago and were outrebounded by the Bulls 45-33.

Chicago’s win on Sunday raised its record to 7-5 against the spread overall in playoffs and to 4-3 ATS at home. The total is evenly split at 6-6 in the 12 games. It was also the Bulls fourth straight-up win over the Heat this season and their third in-a-row ATS. The total was evenly split in those four games as well at 2-2.

Derrick Rose led Chicago with 28 points but it was the offensive and defensive play of Luol Deng against James that made the difference. Deng finished the game with 21 points and seven rebounds. Carlos Boozer continued his resurgence in these playoffs with 14 points and nine rebounds after basically being a non-factor in the first eight games of the postseason.

Miami will undoubtedly play better in this game, especially James and Wade, but the Heat have some real matchup issues that were clearly exploited in Game 1. Look for Chicago to hold onto home court advantage in this series with another win on Wednesday.

The Pick: Chicago -2
