This first round series in this year’s NBA Eastern Conference playoffs shifts to Chicago for game three of the match-up between the #1 seed Cavaliers and the #8 seed Bulls. Cleveland currently leads the series 2-0.

Matchup: Cavaliers at Bulls

Cleveland -4
Total (Over/Under): 193

Cleveland has taken two distinctly different approaches to beating Chicago and both have worked like a charm to give them a 2-0 lead in their first round best-of-seven series.

In their game one 96-83 victory, they spread the ball around with Lebron James scoring 24, Mo Williams adding 19, Antawn Jamison with 15, and Shaquille O’Neil, who was back in the lineup after a four month absence even kicking in 12. In game two’s 112-102 win, it was back to the LeBron James’ show as he torched the Bulls for 40 points as they repeatedly challenged him to beat them with his outside shot. Jamison added 14 points and Williams scored 12 in a supporting role.

Jamario Moon added 12 key points off the bench just for good measure.

Either way this team could not be stopped as anytime either game would get remotely close, they kicked it up into a whole other gear and pulled away.

Unless James has a dreadful night from the field and the others cannot pick up the slack, there is no way they should lose a game to Chicago.

Chicago came into this series optimistic that they could use their big men, primarily Joakim Noah to slow James down. So far that has not worked as they find themselves in 0-2 hole that is getting darker and deeper by the minute.

Offensively, Derrick Rose has done his best to keep these first two games as close as possible, scoring 28 points in the first and 23 in the second, but it has not been enough to actually put them in position to win one.

In game two, Noah led the team with 25 points and 13 rebounds and Luol Deng added 20 but they were still unable to sustain a lead when they had one or close the gap at the end when they needed to the most. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

As the series shifts to Chicago with this game and the next, if they can put forth the type of effort they did in game two and Cleveland is off their game just a bit, they may be able to give the home town fans something to cheer about.

So far Chicago failed to cover by 2 ½ points in game one and by just one point in game two.

The odds makers respect this effort by only giving them four in this game.

Unfortunately, I think the Cavaliers smell the blood in the water and come away with a big win tonight to take a strangle hold 3-0 lead in this series.
