The 76ers are on coming off a defeat at the hands of Los Angeles Clippers in which they conceded 127 points.

Defensive problems continued Sunday afternoon inside Quicken Loans Arena for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs conceded 109 points in a home defeat to against the Dallas Mavericks. It was the 3rd time in their last 4 home games that Cleveland has allowed 100+ points at home. The high point of Sunday’s contest was F Kevin Love, who scored a season high 30 points.

Cleveland’s inconsistency has been a big problem throughout the entire 2014-2015 season. Two games ago against the Hornets, the Cavaliers locked down defensively and held them to just 87 points. Overall, Cleveland is allowing 99.2 points against per contest (14th). Love and company hope to improve on that number as they are going up against the 30th ranked offense in terms of scoring in the NBA on Monday.

From an offensive stand point, the Cleveland has gotten some solid production in the absence of Lebron James. In the past two games, Kevin Love has led the way with 27 and 30 points respectively. To have any success without Lebron, the likes of Dion Waiters, Shawn Marion and Tristan Thompson will have to step up.

On the road this season Cleveland is 8-7 S.U.

The Cavs have won 2 of their last 3 away from Quicken Loans Arena.

Attempting to end losing streaks are nothing new for the 2014-2015 Philadelphia 76ers. They’ll try to put the brakes on a 5 game skid Monday night. Like Cleveland, the 76ers are having their own share of defensive problems. They’ve conceded 110+ points in 4 of their 5 losses during this streak and have lost all 5 games by double digits.

Ranking 30th in scoring and 27th in points against (104.4 points), the 76ers are trying to work through developing their young players and getting them prepared for the future of the franchise. Right now, the main focus has to be to develop and stay healthy for the 76ers players.

The standout for Phili has been PG Tony Wroten. Wroten has continued to put up impressive numbers, including a 27 point, 7 assist game against the Clippers.

From a standings aspect, the 76ers are currently in battle with the New York Knicks for last place in the NBA Atlantic Division. The 76ers hold the edge for last place by percentage points.

Philadelphia will attempt to give fans something they haven’t seen once this season, a home win. Philadelphia is 0-14 inside the Wells Fargo Arena.

They’re conceding 108.5 points against thus on their home court.

NBA Basketball Trends:

  • Cavaliers are 4-13-1 ATS in their last 18 Monday games.
  • Cavaliers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. Eastern Conference.
  • 76ers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
  • 76ers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. NBA Central.

Free 4* Pick: Cleveland –

This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season. Needing a response from their lackluster performance on Sunday is a must for Love and his teammates on Monday.

Cleveland 114, Philadelphia 86

Cleveland’s struggles are no secret to anyone, but they should be able to handle the 76ers with ease.
