Now, Atlanta hopes they can take a commanding 3-1 lead as they get set for Game 4 on Monday. Brooklyn looks to once again silence the doubters that have given them no chance in this series as they hope to even things up and head back to Atlanta at 2-2.

Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta averaged almost 103 points a game during the regular season.

They looked dominant at times en route to the number 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Now, with all the pressure on them as the top seed, they’ve had their moments of struggle this postseason Shooting just 39 percent from the field and averaging 92.7 points a game, they’ll look to get back on track from a poor performance in Game 3.

The Hawks struggles in Game 3 were highlighted by Kyle Korver. The Forward went just 1 of 8 from the field, including 0 for 5 from behind the 3 point arc.

C Al Horford also shared the struggles as he went 3 of 12 from the field. After recording double-doubles in Games 1 and 2, Horford scored just 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the Game 3 loss.

The Hawks’ 83 points was their lowest point total since their Feb. 20th loss against Toronto that saw them score only 80 points.

Atlanta will look to get back to their road ways that saw them go 25-17 S.U. during the regular season.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets were given zero chance prior to the start of the series.

They battled their way in Games 1 and 2, only to come away with 2 single digit losses. With the series now taking place inside the Barclays Center, Brooklyn used an 18-0 2nd half run to grab a win and get themselves back into the series.

Brooklyn has been no pushover at home either, especially as of late. Prior to their Game 3 win, the Nets had won 7 of 9 at home.

If the Nets can come out with the same intensity they had in Game 3, things could get very interesting for this 1 vs. 8 matchup.

The Nets were boosted by C Brook Lopez and F Thaddeus Young. Combined, the pair scored 40 points and grabbed 27 rebounds. In 10 career games against the Hawks, Brook Lopez has averaged 20.6 points.

Lopez also had a dominating presence on the defensive end against Al Horford. That again, will be a major key in Game 4 for Brooklyn.

Deron Williams status is questionable for Game 4 as he sat out the final 16 minutes of Game 3 with tendinitis.

NBA Basketball Trends:

  • Hawks are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.
  • Hawks are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.
  • Nets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
  • Nets are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Free 4* NBA Basketball Pick: Atlanta -4.5

The trends here say to take Brooklyn as they’ve played well ATS at home.

Atlanta 104, Brooklyn 93

However, come playoff time, good teams step when they need to. Atlanta does not want to give Brooklyn any hope in this series and should come out with 110% focus Monday.
