Meanwhile, the Hornets are coming off a big come from behind win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.

The Raptors have been scoring points with ease in recent weeks, and they have only stepped that up in recent weeks. Toronto is scoring 110.7 points per game over its last seven contests. A big reason has been the play of points guard Kyle Lowry who is averaging 25.8 points while knocking down 15 of his 36 attempts from beyond the arc. Reserve guard Lou Williams has also chipped in 37 points over the team’s last two games.

The Hornets have leaned heavily on their points guard for scoring production as well.

With forward Al Jefferson out with a strained groin, point guard Kemba Walker has had to pick up the scoring slack, and he has done that in a big way, averaging 31.3 points per game over the last three contests. In his last game against Toronto, he scored 29 points, including a game-winning jumper at the buzzer to win it in overtime.

FREE Hornets vs. Raptors Prediction:

As good as the Raptors have been, Charlotte is just a team that has their numbers. While it’s yet to be seen whether that trend will carry over into this season as the teams have yet to meet in 2014-15, it’s tough to bet against that trend.

Additionally, the Raptors aren’t getting guard DeMar DeRozan back quite yet, and his absence has hurt the team’s defense to the tune of around four points per 100 possessions.
