They are a contender in the East.
Denver
After a rough start the Nuggets have been much better. They lost their last game against Portland but hey are 7-3 in their last 10 and can be a tough team to prepare for because of their depth. They are 5th in scoring and 27th in defense, putting up and giving up 105ppg.

This game against Washington should have a pretty good flow and that plays to their strengths. This is a team with good size and they rebound well, fueling their outlet game. Opponents need to stay sharp to avoid big runs.
The Nuggets play so many players that you never know who is going to be the go to guy each night. Ty Lawson is the steady hand leading the team in scoring and assists but player like Arron Afflalo, Wilson Chandler and even Danilo Gallinari can have big nights. The frontcourt players are going to be tested by the Wizards, whose backcourt may get attention but whose forwards are rock solid.

Washington
The Wizards are off to a good start but just can’t seem to keep all of their key players on the court at once. After waiting for Bradley Beal to join the lineup and having success with him they are likely to not have the services of Nene and Paul Pierce tonight – both are questionable. Thankfully this team has shown some good depth, case in point Kris Humphries stepped in a PF on Wednesday against the Lakers and grabbed 20 rebounds to help the team to an easy win. This is a very good team and were it not for the Raptors in the East would be getting more buzz.
Beal had his best game since rejoining the team on Wednesday with 27 points and 7 rebounds. It was the most minutes he has played too so his numbers are probably down in part because they have been easing him in. When healthy he and John Wall form one of the best backcourts in the league.

Wall is leading the team in scoring and assists and has has double-doubles in back to back games.
