In the previous 3 meetings this season, they’ve all been high scoring and featured both teams scoring into the 100s. With this being the final time the two will see each other in the 2014-2015 season, both the Bulls and Celtics will look to grab the winning streak against one another.

Chicago

While the Bulls still hold the top spot in the NBA Central Division by 5 games, they’re playing some of their worst basketball of the entire season at the moment. They’ll look to get back on track and avoid losing their 3rd in a row as they head out to Boston for the final time this season. The Bulls have dropped decisions to Orlando and now Washington, both at home.

Rose scored 32 points against Washington, but it was not enough as it was visible the presence of C Joakim Noah was missed. The Bulls will have to adapt to the same circumstances come Friday, as Noah was announced out with an ankle injury. He’ll have an MRI on it Saturday to determine whether or not he’ll miss anymore time.

With Noah down, C Pau Gasol will have to continue to hold the fort down in the paint. Gasol did grab 8 rebounds in the loss to Washington, but he’ll need to do more than that come Friday.

Gasol is averaging 21 points and taking in 13.3 rebounds in the 3 match ups thus far against Boston. A similar performance to that on Friday would go a long way for the Bulls.

On the road this season, Chicago is 14-5 S.U.

Boston

Things have not been all that pleasant since trading away star PG Rajon Rondo. Boston is just 4-10 since that day, and continues to get anything done defensively. They once again allowed over their season average of 103.8 points against (27th) as they saw Atlanta drop in 105 in the team’s 105-91 loss.

With the defensive struggles Boston is having, the offensive is doing it’s fair share to keep the Celtics in games. Averaging 102.3 points a game (10th), the Celtics continue to get into shoot outs with teams. Leading the charge for Boston in scoring is PG Avery Bradley. Bradley is scoring 13.2 points a game and is coming off a solid performance where he scored 17 points and grabbed 3 rebounds.

Boston continues to see themselves in rebuilding mode as they’ve been busy on the trading market. The latest to go was Jameer Nelson and Austin Rivers. Both were dealt this past week as the Celtics welcomed in Tayshaun Prince and Chris Douglas-Roberts.

Boston is just 9-12 S.U. at home this season and dropped the only meeting between the Bulls and them in Boston 109-102.

NBA Basketball Trends:

  • Bulls are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss.
  • Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss.
  • Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home.
  • Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points.

Free 4* NBA Basketball Pick: Over 203

With both teams having a good chance to put in over 100 points themselves, this has the potential to be an over game.

Chicago 108, Boston 103

With Boston’s defensive struggles too, the Bulls could easily put up impressive numbers and Derrick Rose could have another high scoring performance.
