ATS Matchup Insight | CappersPicks Insider Preview

The Spurs shot 58.2 percent from the field in Miami, and now have a chance to close out the series early. No one expected to see the Heat with their backs against the wall like this, but no one could have expected the Spurs to shoot the way they did in Miami.

Those losses have the Heat searching for answers, leading to an impromptu meeting at Chris Bosh’s house over the weekend, with a guest list that included LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Udonis Haslem. The Heat need answers from anywhere they can get them right now.

The Spurs looked especially dominant in Game 4 when they came away with a 107-86 victory. The team was once again led by Kawhi Leonard, who scored a team-high 20 points, adding a game-high 14 rebounds, and filling out his stat line with three assists, three steals, and three blocks.

It was also a record-breaking night for Tim Duncan, who took down a couple long standing playoff records. In the second quarter, Duncan passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for top spot on the all-time postseason minutes list. Then in the fourth quarter, with 11 rebounds already under his belt, Duncan scored on a layup for his ninth and 10th points to record his 158th playoff double-double, breaking the record previously held by Earvin “Magic” Johnson.

A less memorable night for the Heat, though LeBron James was able to lead all scorers with 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting. He revealed during his media availability on Saturday that he’s dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered in Game 2 of the Finals. Dwyane Wade has a rough game, knocking down just 3-of-13 shots from the field for a series-low 10 points.

The Spurs look unbeatable at the moment, but there’s an old saying that teams are never as good as they look when they win, and never as bad as they look when they lose. The Heat are still a strong team, and they’ll surely come up big with their backs against the wall in this one. They won’t let the Spurs off the hook so easy.

Additionally, the over looks like the play here. The sharps were in on the under in advance of Game 4 and it cashed-in easily. Now we see the total down another point, but with the series heading back to San Antonio, the over looks like the play here.

The play: Miami +6, Over 195.5
