Denver Nuggets vs. L.A. Clippers Free Gambling Prediction & NBA Preview

Nuggets vs Clippers NBA Basketball Spread/Handicapping

The Nuggets just can’t seem to get any momentum going this season. They have played a disproportionately high number of games on the road so far (19 of 28) making their 17-11 ATS record all the more impressive.

Denver

These teams have not met yet this season but LA took 3 of 4 last year.

A bright spot was that the lone win for the Nuggets was on the road at Staples, winning by 21 points.

Denver is still using its depth and style of play to harass opposing teams.  They have 6 players averaging between 11 and 16ppg, surprisingly led by forward Danilo Galinari.  Second year power forward Kenneth Faried has really come on and is averaging nearly a double-double, more importantly he will make Blake Griffin earn it at both ends of the floor.

I love watching the speed of point guard Ty Lawson.  He will also challenge his opposite Chris Paul.

The Clippers are about the hottest thing going right now so the Nuggets are running into a buzzsaw so to speak.  Given every team has had a longer than expected rest period I think this game will have some flow which should play to the Nuggets strengths.

Not the best value of the day but pretty good on the underdog side.

Los Angeles

It doesn’t feel right but there is hot and then there is the Clippers right now.  [ad-6571516] The other team from Los Angeles has won 13 games in a row, its just too bad that the Lakers still steal all of the headlines.

The Clips have just 4 games left in the month and have a very good chance of achieving a perfect record, increasing their lead over the somewhat equally surprising Golden State Warriors in the Pacific Division.

As compared to last year, the Clippers are getting much more balance. Griffin’s and Paul’s scoring are down but the overall lineup has much more depth with 9 players averaging at least 9ppg.

New addition guard Jamal Crawford and forward Matt Barnes have fit in nicely but center DeAndre Jordan seems a little lost in the mix.  Against Denver they will probably go with a smaller quicker lineup though anyway.

On their current run the Clippers have been cashing tickets too, 9-4 ATS over their last 13.  This team is in the top 9 offensively and defensively and the only thing to be worried is that they haven’t shot it well this year.

Or maybe that is a sign that they still have room to grow as a squad.

Still not much to complain about.
