There was a lot of 2nd guessing after the Pacers Game 1 loss on the last play of the game when LeBron James had, pretty much, a non contested layup to win in OT.

Indiana Pacers vs. Miami Heat Preview

That is all water under the bridge now and even in the loss the Pacers have to come away with confidence after losing Game 1 in Miami by a single point in overtime. NBA lines have the Heat as 7.5-point home favorites with a total of 180.5.

In Game1 the Heat beat the Pacers 103-102 in OT.

On the season the Pacers are 57-37 and 51-43 ATS and the Heat are 75-17 and 52-40 ATS.

This season the Heat are 42-5 at home and the Pacers are 21-26 on the road.

LeBron James went for a triple double in Game 1 and while he Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were solid each shooting at least 50% from the field they could use some more help from the bench. Chris Anderson had a great game off the bench scoring 16 points on 7/7 shooting, but Ray Allen, Shane Battier and Norris Cole only combined to shoot 2/16 from the field.

The frontcourt starters of David West, Paul George, and Roy Hibbert combined to score 72 points in the Game 1 loss, but the guards struggled with their shot. George Hill and Lance Stephenson only combined to score 12 points on 4/19 shooting and they need to knock down their open shots to open up the lane.

The Heat outscored the Pacers in the paint in Game 1 60-48.

Both teams need to rebound the ball better, as each team had at least 15 offensive boards in Game 1. [ad-6571516]

Game 1 was a sloppy game with each team committing at least 20 turnovers and there were 58 personal fouls called.

Paul George has to get going earlier in Game 2, as in Game 1 he did get hot on the 2nd half and score 27 overall, but he only has 2 at halftime.

In some betting trends for this Eastern Conference semifinal game the Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss, and they have an Over record of 12-2 in their last 14 games following a S.U. loss.

The Heat are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games, 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games following a S.U. win, and they have an Over record of 4-1 in their last 5 games.

In the last 7 games between these 2 teams the total has gone Over 6 times.

Jason’s Pick: I picked Indy to cover in Game 1 and I am going to do so again. I think the Heat will win again, but the Pacers have confidence in Miami’s house and they will cover the 7.5-point spread for the 2nd straight game.
