NBA Betting – Heat vs. Bobcats (Dec. 8)

Free pick and preview plus NBA betting odds and basketball lines for the matchup featuring the Charlotte Bobcats and the Miami Heat…

Streaking Heat Host Reeling Bobcats

The Charlotte Bobcats (7-13 SU, 11-9 ATS, 6-13-1 O/U) were emphatically beaten the last time out, failing to cover the spread for NBA online betting backers in the process. The Miami Heat (11-9 SU, 8-11-1 ATS, 11-9 O/U) are riding a season-high, three-game winning streak, but have failed to cover the spread for backers in two of their last three.

Tonight, both teams will be looking to pick up a win for fans and NBA sports betting enthusiasts everywhere when they meet at American Airlines Arena in Miami.

The Bobcats, who have lost two consecutive games, are coming off dismal 94-74 home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday, getting a team high 17 points from blossoming rookie point guard D.J. Augustin on 3-for-5 shooting from the field and 10-for-10 shooting from the free throw line.

“Tonight I don’t even think we competed a lick,” said Charlotte coach Larry Brown. “That’s difficult for me. … I thought almost every shot we took was just something they were hoping would go in the basket.”

Leading scorer Jason Richardson scored just nine points on 3-for-9 shooting while Gerald Wallace added one point on 0-for-6 shooting from the field.

“Every time you drive to the basket, all five guys are there,” said Richardson. “We’ve got to play like that. Every time we came down the lane, there were no easy baskets. It was either a block or they put us to the line with a foul that was hard.”

The Heat are coming off a 105-99 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, the team’s third straight win.

“We don’t want to stop, either,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “We have to maintain our focus and keep on moving forward. Particularly with this group, I don’t want us to relax at all.”

Shooting guard Dwyane Wade, who leads the NBA in scoring at 28.9 points per game, scored a game-high 38 points, adding seven assists and five boards in the process.

Miami also got 15 points apiece from three players, veteran Shawn Marion, rookie point guard Mario Chalmers and power forward Udonis Haslem.

NBA Odds

Charlotte Bobcats +8 -110
Miami Heat -8 -110

Over 187 -110
Under 187 -110

Analysis: The Miami Heat are feeling good about themselves and have been a really tough team to beat at home this season. Charlotte could surprise with a solid effort, but I don’t see it happening. Tale the Heat to win and cover the spread BetUS NBA betting buffs.
