Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs Gambling Prediction & NBA Preview

Golden State vs. San Antonio Betting!

The Spurs were a little lucky to escape Game 1 with a win, as they did not shoot the ball well and needed a 3-pointer from Manu Ginobili in the 2nd OT to get the W. The Spurs shot great in Game 1 with Stephen Curry having another big game, but they let a big lead slip away.

NBA lines have the Spurs as 7.5-point home favorites with a total of 204.5.

In Game 1 the Spurs beat the Warriors 129-127 in 2 OT.

On the season the Warriors are 49-39-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 51-37-1 and the Spurs are at 43-42-2 and they have an Over/Under record of 39-46-2.

This season the Spurs are 38-6 at home and the Warriors are 20-25 on the road.

The Warriors shot 50% from the floor in Game 1 and they buried 11 of their 30 3-pointers.

The Warriors had a big lead in the 4th quarter, but the Spurs went on a 18-2 run to force OT.

Tim Duncan sat out much of the 2nd half of Game 1 with a stomach bug, but he will be back tonight and that will be a key, especially with David Lee still out. [ad-6571516]

Stephan Curry had another big playoff game going for 44 points and fellow guards Klay Thomson and Jarrett Jack combined for 34 points. The Spurs need to play better D on the guards and not let them get open looks from deep and drive to the hole. In Game 1 the Warriors scored 52 points in the paint.

The Spurs had 4 of 5 starters score over 18 points in Game 1, but overall they only shot 43.8% from the field. Tony Parker was the team’s high scorer with 28 points, but he was only 11/26 from the floor.

The Warriors need to defend the 3 better, as in Game 1 they allowed the Spurs to shoot a scorching 3-pt FG% of 50%. They left Ginobili open for his game winner and that killed them. It is also key that they hold onto the rock better, as in the game they committed 21 turnovers.

In some betting trends for this Western Conference playoff match up the Warriors are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games, 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, and they have an Under record of 5-2 in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest.

The Spurs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games, and they have an Over record of 5-1 in their last 6 home games.

Jason’s Pick: I am going to buck the trends here, as with Duncan back the Spurs will play better on D and they will win and cover the spread tonight.
