  2. Dale Earnhardt Jr. $4,829,288
  3. Brad Keselowski $5,499,886

  5. Jimmie Johnson $5,057,994

The MyAFibStory.com 400 is slated to get underway at 2 p.m. and the race will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

Brad Keselowski put an exclamation point on his regular season run to the Chase with a victory last week at Richmond. Jeff Gordon is primed for a run at the title after finishing second and last week’s longshot pick Clint Bowyer almost paid off by taking third.

The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Sunday’s race based on odds provided by our Top Sportsbooks.

MyAFibStory.com 400 Favorite (odds of less than 10/1)

Sometimes when it comes to betting on sports the best strategy is to ride the hot hand. Brad Keselowski was opened as a 13/2 favorite to win last week and he did.

[dfads params=’groups=63753&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

This week he has been opened as a 5/1 favorite to win and I think he will.

The No. 2 car comes into the Chase at the top of the reformulated standings with 2012 points. This team has the most Sprint Cup wins this season (4) and it has taken the checkered flag in three of its last 10 Sprint Cup runs.

Adding even more value to these odds is Keselowski’s recent success at this track. He won this race on the way to a Sprint Cup title in 2012 and he finished fifth in 2011 and eighth in last year’s race.

MyAFibStory.com 400 Contender (odds from 10/1 to 19/1)

Anyone who follows my NASCAR picks on a regular basis already knows I am a huge Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan so I am going with him this week as my top contender at 10/1 odds.

[dfads params=’groups=63791&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The No. 88 team has cooled a bit in recent weeks, but it is hard to ignore an overall record of three Sprint Cup victories and eight additional top-five finishes in light of such favorable odds.

The primary reason the odds are so high is Junior’s past performance at Chicagoland, which cannot be considered one of his favorite tracks. However, he did win this race in 2005 and he finished third in 2011 and eighth in 2012.

MyAFibStory.com 400 Longshot (odds 20/1 or greater)

Looking at the betting odds for the other 14 drivers in the Chase, one that would fall into the longshot category would be Carl Edwards at 25/1.

The No. 99 car locked-up a spot in the Chase with victories earlier in the season at Bristol and Sonoma, but its closest runs to winning a third race over the past few months were fifth-place finishes at Watkins Glenn and Atlanta.

Edwards has not been a factor in this race the past two seasons with finishes outside the top 10, but he did place second in 2010 and fourth in 2011’s race.

Brad Keselowski, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and for a longshot Carl Edwards.
