Inconsistencies have led to a roller coaster ride of a season for both the Indians and the Angels. Both teams come in at the bottom of that roller coaster as the Angels were swept away against their in city rival the Dodgers and the Indians dropped the final 2 of a 4 game set in Oakland to only earn a split. Cleveland Indians
Frustrations, solid pitching performances, untimely hitting. Those three terms can describe the 2015 Cleveland Indians in a nutshell. While the starting rotation continues to pitch lights out, the offense has failed to muster any kind of response to help them out. Sunday was another one of those occasions as for the 2nd straight night Cleveland scored just 1 run as they fell in series finale 2-1. Cleveland split the 4 game set, but scored just 7 runs total.
The Indians offense has been the storyline of the season as they have struggled to get their starters wins after solid performances. Trevor Bauer allowed just 1 run, but earned just a ND for his efforts.

Knowing about lack of run support, the Indians go with Corey Kluber on Monday. Kluber is among the top in no run support, but received a surprising outburst last time he took the hill. The Indians scored him 12 runs and Kluber went the distance allowing a lone run in the 9th inning. One of Kluber’s few losses last season came against these Angels as he was knocked around in just 4.2 innings for 4 runs in the defeat.
Los Angeles Angels
The Angels continued their struggles over the weekend when they invaded Dodger Stadium. They too lacked any sort of offense as they watched the Dodgers walk off in the 10th inning to complete the sweep. Los Angeles has now lost 6 straight games and have fallen 4 games off the pace in the AL West.
Looking to snap this streak, RH Garrett Richards will toe the rubber. Richards has been consistent this season, but like his counterpart, receives very little run support. Despite having an ERA of just 2.70 in his last 3 starts, Richards has dropped back-to-back decisions.
Richards allowed four runs in 6.1 innings against division rival Houston and dropped the decision 6-3.
His numbers at home have been phenomenal as he is 6-2 with an ERA of 2.08. This will be his first career start against the Tribe.
