The Braves (22-23) are losers of their last two in row, slipping to one game under .500 on the season after falling to the Dodgers 8-0 on Tuesday.

Atlanta struggled at the plate, and ended the game with just five hits.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles (27-17) exploded offensively, with a home run from Adrian Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBIs, and a two-run double by right fielder Andre Ethier, who finished the game going 1-for-4.

The lone bright spot offensively for the Braves was outfielder Nick Markakis, who had three of Atlanta’s five hits.

The Braves will turn to 24-year-old right-hander Alex Woods in Game 2 to get back in the win column. Wood missed his last start on Friday against the Brewers due to a stomach virus.

He did however, pick up his second win of the season, allowing two runs, one earned, in a 5-3 win over Miami on May 16. This will be his first start against the Dodgers.

LA will counter with pitching ace Zack Greinke who has been lights out on the mound so far this year, with five wins and only a single loss on the season.

The 31-year-old right hander picked up another win last Friday, allowing six hits and just one run in 7 2/3 innings, while fanning five and walking in a 2-1 victory over San Diego.

Greinke has given up just three earned runs in his last four starts.

With Tuesday’s loss, Atlanta fell to 10-13 on the road, while Los Angeles improved to 21-6 at Dodger Stadium.

Dodgers — Greinke is on fire and if he keeps pitching like he is, he could be in line for Cy Young votes.

Combine that with the Dodger’s offense, and how well they are playing at home, and you have to bet with the home team here.
