The season is winding down, and with it the teams that remain unbeaten, count 6, but the 1 loss teams have suffered a lot of causalties, and have now dwindled to just 2, with Pittsburgh, and Georgia Tech the lone survivors at 1 loss.

The National Championship picture is beginning to become more and more evident, so let’s take a look at what lies ahead.

KANSAS (5-5) @ TEXAS (10-0)

The Horns appear to be heading to the BCS Championship game, with this one, and A&M left, plus a Big-12 Title game, vs an opponent that will be a double-digit dog, the stage is set for the Horns to carry a 13-0 mark and face the SEC Title game winner. UPSET POTENTIAL: 0

TCU (10-0) @ WYOMING (5-5)

The Horned Frogs cleared their biggest land mine, and did it easily, crushing a previous 8-1 Utah team. The stage is set for the Horns now to run the table, with 2 easy games left, and a BCS Bowl awaits. UPSET POTENTIAL: 0

FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL (3-7) @ FLORIDA (10-0)

Not much need be said here, except if Florida loses their ought to be an investigation. The Gators need to clear Florida St. which they should be able to do, and face Bama in the SEC Championship Game for the right to play for the National Championship. UPSET POTENTIAL :0

CHATANOOGA @ ALABAMA (10-0)

All I can say about this one is are you kidding me? The Tide has to clear in state rival Auburn, and they will earn a right to play Florida, which will become a National Championship play in game. UPSET POTENTIAL: 0

BOISE ST. (10-0) @ UTAH ST. (3-7)

The Broncos have one game left where they can get tripped up, and that is vs Nevada, but I doubt the Wolfpack has enough defense to really make this a game, and I expect the Broncos to run the table and find themselves in a BCS Bowl. UPSET POTENTIAL: 0

BYE:

CINCINNATI; 10-0

The Bearcats have looked a bit more vulnerable of late, and will have a big challenge vs a 9-1 PITT team, with the winner grabbing the BCS Bowl bid.

That’s it for this week, and it certainly doesn’t look like we have any upset potential at all this week, and I expect the unbeatens to return to this column next week.

May the hook be with you.
