North Carolina welcomes Duke to Chapel Hill with the winner claiming the ACC regular-season title, and after the first meeting, we should be in for a barnburner.

The No.4 Blue Devils (27-3, 13-2) pulled away in the second half of a 70-59 win at home over Clemson on Senior Night, and it was fitting that their seniors, Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler, led the way. Smith had 21 points, seven assists and four rebounds, although he added eight turnovers to his box score, while Singler chipped in with 18 points and 11 boards for the Blue Devils, who held the Tigers to 30.4% shooting in one of the most physical contests the ACC has seen all season.

Baseball betting players know you must have some veteran leadership on your team, and in Smith and Singler, the Blue Devils have a duo that the younger players can lean on when times get tough.

The No.13 Tar Heels (22-6, 13-2), on the other hand, got a big play from a freshman as Harrison Barnes hit a huge three-pointer in a 72-70 win at Florida State to pull into a tie with the Blue Devils atop the ACC. Barnes had 18 points overall, while John Henson notched 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Tar Heels, who had a 33-24 edge on the glass. You could argue that the Tar Heels’ three best players are Henson, a sophomore, and a pair of freshmen in Barnes and Kendall Marshall, who had eight assists at Florida State.

Your pay per head sportsbook should favor the Tar Heels at home, where they have posted a 2-3 SU and ATS record in their last five games at the “Dean Dome” against the Blue Devils, who broke North Carolina’s heart in a 79-73 win at Cameron Indoor Stadium in February. The Tar Heels had a 14-point lead at halftime and looked set to end Duke’s long winning streak at home, but the Blue Devils showed why it’s so hard to play 40 minutes at Cameron by rolling over North Carolina in the second half.

We expect the Tar Heels to have learned their lesson and it won’t be the same at Chapel Hill, mainly because Barnes is playing like the guy who was anointed a preseason All-American, especially in close games. The Tar Heels also have to contain Smith, who lit them up for 34 points at Cameron, and we don’t think that’ll happen again either.

Trends:
Under is 41-16 in DUKE last 57 vs. Atlantic Coast.
NOCAR are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall.
Under is 24-9 in NOCAR last 33 vs. Atlantic Coast.
Under is 12-5-1 in NOCAR last 18 Sat. games.
Underdog is 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings.

Pick: Take North Carolina in your sports betting picks.
