Aggies vs. Cowboys NCAA Football Pick / Gambling Preview (Sept. 30)

NCAA Football Betting – Prepare For Big 12 Shootout On Thursday

NCAA football betting players should be in for a Big 12 shootout on Thursday night to kick off the fifth week of the college season as Texas A&M heads to Stillwater to face Oklahoma State, and both teams are in the top 10 nationally in terms of offense. Who will come out on top?

Texas A&M Oklahoma State Betting – Thursday, September 30th, 7:30 PM ET

The Aggies (3-0) actually struggled a bit in a 27-20 win at home over Florida International, and they may have been a bit guilty of looking ahead to this game. Jerrod Johnson was 11-of-31 for 194 yards and a touchdown, but his picks accounted for four of five Texas A&M turnovers. Christine (no misspelling) Michael had 119 yards on the ground, and his touchdown sparked a fourth-quarter comeback for the Aggies, who were down 20-6 heading into the final 15 minutes. Online football betting players know that, against a better team, the Aggies would be in big trouble.

The Cowboys (3-0) hung 722 yards on Tulsa in a 65-28 beatdown as Brandon Weeden went off, going 23-of-32 for 409 yards with six touchdowns and no picks. The Cowboys also added 148 yards on the ground, and it’s tough to decide which way to defend Oklahoma State. Do you let Weeden and his merry group of receivers pass all over you, or do you defend against Kendall Hunter in the backfield?

If the Cowboys have a weakness, it’s that their defense can be pushed as they gave up 428 yards against Tulsa. However, defense is obviously secondary in Stillwater, and they’re just going to try to outscore everyone.

For the offense alone, this should be well worth the price per head for those who buy tickets. The Cowboys are 3-point favorites at home, and they’re 2-3 against the Aggies in their last five meetings in Stillwater, but 3-2 ATS. Neither team has played anyone of note this year, so this will be their first big test and nerves will be a factor.

The Aggies have been poor on the road with a 3-7 record both SU and ATS in their last 10 games, and we’re shaky on Johnson, who had shoulder surgery in the offseason and has been inconsistent. The Cowboys do give up a lot of yards, but they also forced a lot of turnovers. That’s why we’re taking the Cowboys to come away with the win in their first Big 12 game, first using Weeden and the aerial attack, and then they’ll wear Texas A&M down with Hunter and the run.

Texas-Oklahoma on Saturday will get more attention, but this may be the better game.
