HOT AND NOT WEEK 13

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Well folks, it’s likely the 1st week of your Fantasy Playoffs. There is some definite Fantasy Gold out there – some dudes who have consistently put up great numbers. There are also some guys that should be Fantasy Silver at the very least and are not.

Week 13’s HOT AND NOT list looks back at previous performance and considers future matchups. Some of the NOT could become HOT – that’s the beauty of Fantasy Football.

So Here we go with Dave B’s Week 13 edition of the HOT AND NOT list.

HOT

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay – This dude has simply been of fire. Over 340 yards passing in his last 2 outings with 5 touchdowns in those games. With Baltimore and Pittsburgh coming up (Chicago in between), we’ll see if Rodgers can remain HOT.

Brett Favre – Minnesota 7 TD’s and no interceptions in is hast 2 games. Arizona and Cincinnati are up next for the Favre Machine – Congrats if you own him!

Drew Brees – I’m sold – you? All Brees has done is throw 8 TD’s in his last 2 games. The way he carved up the Patriots is proof enough – Brees is HOT.

Chris Johnson – Tennessee – This guy is absolutely off the charts. Get this – he has averaged 160 yards rushing in his last 5 games! Unreal. Oh ya – he gets more than his share of receiving yards too! The dude is smokin HOT.

Ricky Williams – Miami – Williams followed up his huge game against Carolina with another solid effort against Buffalo. He’s the only game in town for Miami and they are gonna ride him hard. He’ll be huge the rest of the way for sure.

Steven Jackson – St. Louis – Call me a Steven Jackson fan. I love the way that he goes out and competes, bad back and all, for a BAD team. He is guaranteed 125 yards and a touchdown and every single yard much earned.

Terrell Owens – Buffalo – Ya, I know its fun to pick on this guy, but he averaged 146 yards the last 2 games that Ryan Fitzpatrick has started. He’s also had 2 touchdowns in those games. He’s heating up folks, and ready to audition for next year’s contract.

Arizona WRS – We’ll give Anquan and Larry Fitzgerald for that matter a mulligan for last week’s game. After all, Matt Leinart was the QB. Kurt Warner returns this week and with games against Minnesota, San Francisco, Detroit and St. Louis coming up, they’re HOT.

Marques Colston – New Orleans – With the Saints playing the way they are, points are gonna flow. Colston is the best receiver on that team and with Washington, Atlanta, and Dallas coming up, Colston promises to remain HOT.

Visanthe Shiancoe – Minnesota – Has become a big part of the Vikings Offense. Shiancoe has scored in his last 2 games on 13 catches. Minnesota is rolling downhill – I wouldn’t want to get in their way.

NOT

Jay Cutler – Chicago – This guy has lost all of his mojo. Cutler seems to have no clue what the hell is happening on the Football field. He has pitched 2 duds in a row. It might not last with ST. Louis coming to town, but right now, Cutler is definitely NOT HOT.

Mark Sanchez – NY Jets – 1 touchdown and 5 interceptions in his last 2 games. If that’s NOT HOT, I don’t know what is.

Jake Delhomme – Carolina – Exact same #’s for Delhomme except Delhomme has this dude named Steve Smith to make him look good. Smith is not a magician however. Add in the fact that Delhomme has a broken finger and there’s only one conclusion isn’t there?

Carson Palmer – Cincinnati – Those of you who were hoping to ride Carson Palmer have been sadly disappointed. Palmer has only tossed 1 td. In his last 3 games – honestly!! Cincinnati is a running team and it’s killing Palmer’s Fantasy value.

Tampa Bay RBS – Would someone give Josh Freeman some help please? Once the cornerstone of the Bucs Offense, the running game is stuck in the mud. Cadillac Williams, Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham have done NOTHING this year – tragic!!

Brandon Jacobs – NY Giants – I had hopes that Jacobs would break out of his slump on National Television Thanksgiving night. That didn’t happen and some no-name DannyWare matched Jacob’s rushing totals. This dude is NOT HOT as they come.

Matt Forte – Chicago – It’s official (Actually it was 6 weeks ago) – Forte is a bust. He hasn’t rushed for more that 41 yards in the last 4 games – he also hasn’t scored. For such a centerpiece, he Frigid.

TJ Houshmandzadeh – Seattle – This guy is used to getting 90 catches per year. In his last 2 games, Housh has just 6 catches for 50 yards. TJ also hasn’t scored in his last 3 games. Sorry Seattle fans, your savior is NOT HOT.

Roy Williams – Dallas – Since Roy’s Big Week 10 (105 yards and a td.), Williams has had just 2 catches in the last 2 games. He is the clear # 3 or maybe 4 option in the passing game. Not a recipe for good #s – don’t ya think?

Braylon Edwards – Good thing for Edwards and the Jets Offense that they play Buffalo and Tampa Bay next. The Offense has been sputtering to say the least and once again the talent of Edwards is lost in some abyss. He aint that good folks – he just aint.

John Carlson – Seattle – This guy looked like he was a top 10 Tight End coming into, and at the beginning of the season. Since then, he hasn’t done much. In the last 2 games (1 against the Rams), he has 2 catches for 14 yards – NOT HOT.
