It seems the Orange Bowl has something in common with the Fiesta Bowl this season. Like the Fiesta, the Orange pits a dominant offense versus a dominant defense. Also like the Fiesta, the Orange features at least one team that some people thought would end up in a different bowl. In this case, it’s the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Believe it or not, many college football fans are more excited for the Fiesta Bowl than they are for the BCS championship game. The Fiesta bowl pits two undefeated, top-six teams against each other, both of which field high-octane offenses.
So sports betting handicappers won’t get a story book ending for Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators and they also won’t see a happy ending for Brian Kelly and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
A very interesting matchup of two middle-tier West Coast teams will take place in San Diego, when the Utah Utes and the Cal Golden Bears square off in the Poinsettia Bowl.
