Last week in the NFL the dogs feasted as nine teams getting points covered the spread with seven of them winning the game outright. Straight up, 8-of-16 away teams won, but against the spread the advantage shifted the other way as 10 home teams covered. Points were a bit more plentiful than in Week 1 as nine games went ‘over’  the total and seven stayed ‘under’.

The average total number of points scored in each game went from 36.6 the first week to 41.4 last week.

Here is a brief preview and pick for all 16 games in Week 2. All lines are provided by Sportsbook.com.

Sunday, Sep. 26

1:00 P.M. Cleveland at Baltimore (-10.5)
Over/Under: 37

Seneca Wallace is expected to get his second start of the season for Cleveland. The Browns are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games vs. the AFC. The Ravens are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games against the AFC. The Pick: Cleveland +10. 5 and UNDER.

Cincinnati (-3) at Carolina
Over/Under: 38

Rookie QB Jimmy Clausen is expected to get the start for Carolina. The Bengals are 7-22-1 ATS in their last 30 games as a favorite. The Panthers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games as an underdog. The Pick: Carolina +3 and UNDER.

Dallas at Houston (-3)
Over/Under: 47.5

The ‘under’ is 10-3 in Dallas’s last 13 games. The Cowboys are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a SU loss. The Texans are 4-1-2 ATS in their last seven games following a win. The Pick: Houston -3 and UNDER.

Pittsburgh (-2.5) at Tampa Bay
Over/Under: 33.5

No. 4 QB Charlie Batch will get the start this week for Pittsburgh. The Steelers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games. The Buccaneers are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 home games. The Pick: Pittsburgh – 2.5 and UNDER.

Tennessee at N.Y. Giants (-3)
Over/Under: 43

The Titans are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Giants are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games on fieldturf. The total has gone ‘over’ in New York’s last seven games. The Pick: New York -3 and OVER.

Atlanta at New Orleans (-4)
Over/Under: 50

The Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last six games. The Saints are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games. New Orleans has scored a total of 38 points in its first two games. The Pick: Atlanta +4 and UNDER.

Buffalo at New England (-14)
Over/Under: 42.5

Buffalo is ranked last in total points and yards per game. The Bills are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games against the AFC East. The Patriots are 22-8-1 ATS in their last 31 games following a loss. The Pick: New England and UNDER.

Detroit at Minnesota (-11)
Over/Under: 42.5

The Lions are 2-5-2 ATS in their last nine road games. The Vikings are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven home games. The total has stayed ‘under’ in six of Minnesota’s last seven games as a favorite. The Pick: Minnesota -11 and UNDER. NFL Betting

San Francisco (-2.5) at Kansas City
Over/Under: 37

The 49ers are 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine games as a road favorite. The Chiefs are 4-0 ATS in their last four games as an underdog. The total has gone ‘over’ in 15 of Kansas City’s last 23 home games. The Pick: Kansas City and OVER.

4:05 P.M Washington (-3.5) at St. Louis
Over/Under: 38

The Redskins are 5-1-1 ATS following a SU loss. The total has stayed ‘under’ in 12 of Washington’s last 16 games as a favorite. The Rams are 9-21 ATS in their last 30 home games. The total has stayed ‘under’ in St. Louis’s last five games. The Pick: Washington – 3.5 and UNDER.

Philadelphia (-2.5) at Jacksonville
Over/Under: 45

Michael Vick has been named Philadelphia’s starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. The Eagles are 4-1 ATS as a road favorite. The Jaguars are 4-13 ATS in their last 17 home games. The Pick: Philadelphia – 2.5 and OVER.

San Diego (5.5) at Seattle
Over/Under: 44

The Chargers are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games as the favorite. The Seahawks are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven games as a home underdog. The Pick: Seattle + 5.5 and OVER.

Indianapolis (-6) at Denver
Over/Under: 48.5

The Colts are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as a road favorite. The Broncos are 9-21-1 ATS in their last 31 home games. The total has gone ‘over’ is six of Indianapolis’s last seven games against the AFC. The Pick: Indianapolis -6 and OVER.

Oakland at Arizona (-4)
Over/Under: 39.5

QB Bruce Gradkowski will get the start for Oakland in this game. The Raiders are 0-6 ATS in their last six games following a SU win. The Cardinals are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a SU loss. The Pick: Arizona -4 and UNDER.

Over/Under: 34.5

The Jets are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games as a road underdog. The Dolphins are 8-25 ATS in their last 33 games as a favorite. Miami is 2-0 but has only scored a total of 29 points in its first two games. The Pick: New York +1.5 and UNDER.

Over/Under: 46

The Packers are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games against the NFC North. The Bears are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against the NFC North. The Pick: Green Bay -3 and OVER.
