There are just two weeks left in the regular season but Chicago is the only team to clinch a division just three other teams; New England, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta have clinched a playoff berth.

Philadelphia, Indianapolis, and Kansas City have the edge in their division races and Baltimore, New Orleans, and both teams from New York; the Jets and Giants have the best shot at making it to the postseason as the four wildcards.

The NFC West is still anyone’s guess as a 7-9 record can still win the division.

The following is a brief look at each matchup in Week 16 along with the current pointspread as supplied by Sportsinteraction.com.

Thursday, Dec. 23

8:20 P.M. Carolina at Pittsburgh (-14 ½)
Over/Under: 37

Panthers’ rookie QB Jimmy Clause had his best day as a pro in last week’s 19-14 win over Arizona, completing 68.4 percent of his passes for one touchdown and no interceptions. It is doubtful things will go that well this week in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers are once again tied with Baltimore atop the AFC North at 10-4 after their 22-17 loss to the Jets, but they still control the division with the tiebreaker if both teams finish with the same record.

Saturday, Dec. 25

7:30 P.M. Dallas (-6 ½) at Arizona
Over/Under: 45

The Cowboys are still shooting for a .500 finish after winning their fourth game of the season under interim head coach Jason Garrett. They will have to win this game and beat the Eagles on the road in the final game to do it.

Arizona is a dismal 4-10 on the year, but is even worse against the NFC with two of their four wins coming against AFC opponents; Oakland and Denver. They did beat New Orleans at home 30-20 back in Week 5.

Sunday, Dec. 26

1:00 P.M. Baltimore (-3 ½) at Cleveland
Over/Under: 39

The Ravens 30-24 win over New Orleans was the third time in their last five games they scored 30 points or more, after scoring more than 30 points only twice in their first nine games.

The Browns 19-17 loss to the Bengals last week dropped their record to 5-9 and cost them a shot at reaching .500 for the first time since 2007 when they finished 10-6 but did not make the playoffs.

N.Y. Jets at Chicago (-1)
Over/Under: 35 ½

The Jets dramatic win over Pittsburgh kept them mathematically alive for the AFC East title and tremendously improved their position to lock up a wildcard spot in the playoffs.

The Bears one-sided win over Minnesota clinched the NFC North, but they still need to keeping winning to hold onto the No. 2 seed in the conference.

New England (-8) at Buffalo
Over/Under: 44 ½

A win in one of their last two games would lock up the Patriots eighth AFC East title in the last nine seasons. They finish their season at home next week against Miami should the slip up against the Bills.

The Bills eliminated Miami from the playoffs last week and would love to keep New England from celebrating another division title on their home field. Last week’s win was their fourth in the last six weeks.

Seattle at Tampa Bay (-6)
Over/Under: 43

The Seahawks can still lose this game and have a shot win the NFC West with a 7-9 record if they beat St. Louis in their season finale as they would have split the two meetings this season but end up with a better record in the division.

Tampa Bay’s dream run to the playoffs pretty much ended at the hands of the 3-11 Lions who had not won a game on the road in over three years.

San Francisco at St. Louis (-2 ½)
Over/Under: 39 ½

Despite falling to 5-9 after losing to San Diego last Thursday night, the 49ers can still keep their chances alive to win the NFC West with a win in their final two games and a Seattle loss to Tampa Bay.

The Rams would clinch the NFC West with a win this week against San Francisco and a win on the road against Seattle in their season finale. St. Louis is 4-3 at home this season and 2-5 on the road.

Detroit at Miami (-3 ½)
Over/Under: 41 ½

Shoulders and quarterbacks have not been a good fit for Lions this season as backup Drew Stanton separated his in Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay. Stanton has not been ruled out but Shaun Hill or even Matthew Stafford have been mentioned as potential replacements.

This could be Tony Sparano’s last home game as the Dolphins head coach as rumors are already swirling that Miami is on Bill Cowher’s short list of teams he would like to coach. Sunday’s ugly loss to Buffalo certainly did not help his cause.

Washington at Jacksonville (-6 ½)
Over/Under: 45

Redskins QB Rex Grossman took a positive step toward securing the starting position heading into next season after throwing for 322 yards and four touchdowns last week against Dallas. NFL Betting

The Jaguars suddenly find themselves on the outside looking in to win the AFC South as they need to win their last two games and hope that Indianapolis trips up against Oakland or Tennessee in its last two games.

Tennessee at Kansas City (-5)
Over/Under: 41 ½

The Titans’ 31 points scored against Houston last Sunday was the first time they scored more than 30 points since Week 6 against Jacksonville. RB Chris Johnson’s 130 yards rushing in that game was the eighth time he rushed for more than 100 yards this season.

The Chiefs still control the AFC West and can clinch with a win against Tennessee and a San Diego loss. Kansas City is 9-5 overall this season, but a perfect 6-0 at home where they will play its final two games.

4:05 P.M. Indianapolis (-3) at Oakland
Over/Under: 47

The Colts win over Jacksonville put them back in the driver seat in the AFC South but it came at a steep price as WR Austin Collie suffered another concussion which was the third time in seven weeks he left a game with a head injury.

The Raiders kept their AFC West title hopes alive with a win over Denver on Sunday, but at 7-7 and two games behind Kansas City, they would need nothing short of a miracle to actual win it.

Houston (-3) at Denver
Over/Under: 48

The Texans’ loss to Tennessee last Sunday ensured they would have another losing record that could possibly signal an end to Gary Kubiak’s four year run as the team’s head coach.

The 3-11 Broncos are still in contention for the first pick in next year’s draft as only Carolina has a worse record at 2-12. QB Tim Tebow, this year’s first round pick, threw for 138 yards and one touchdown in his first NFL start last week.

San Diego (-7 ½) at Cincinnati
Over/Under: 44

The 8-6 Chargers are back to their winning ways with a 4-1 record in their last five games but it may be a case of too little too late. They still need help to make the playoffs even if they win their last two games.

The Bengals snapped a 10 game losing streak with their win over Cleveland last week. WR Terrell Owens had season-ending surgery on his knee on Monday after aggravating a torn cartilage injury in Sunday’s game.

N.Y. Giants at Green Bay (-2)
Over/Under: OFF

Despite blowing a 21 point lead with less than eight minutes to play in last week’s loss to Philadelphia, the Giants can still lock up a spot in the postseason as a wildcard with a win in this game.

The Packers are hoping to have QB Aaron Rodgers back for this game after he missed last week’s recovering from his second concussion of the season which he sustained in a Week 14 loss to Detroit.

8:20 P.M. Minnesota at Philadelphia OFF
Over/Under: OFF

The Vikings are not counting out Brett Favre for this game despite the fact he got knocked out of Monday night’s game with a concussion.

The Eagles need a win either this week or next week at home against Dallas to lock-up their first NFC East title since 2006. Philadelphia is 4-2 at home the season and 6-2 on the road.

Monday, Dec. 27

8:30 P.M. New Orleans at Atlanta (-2 ½)
Over/Under: 48 ½

The Saints loss to Baltimore dropped them to 10-4 and put a serious dent in their chances to win the NFC South even with a win over 12-2 Atlanta in this game.

The Falcons need to win just one of their final two games to not only win the division, but lock-up the No.1 seed in the conference and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
