Odds & Predictions to win the 2015 World Series<\/h3>\n

Kansas City Royals 6\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n

You gotta give it up to the Royals. After a year that nobody thought they would duplicate the Royals have kept getting it done thanks to a total team effort. They are fourth in the AL in runs per game and first in fewest runs allowed per game \u2013 a dangerous combination indeed. KC is battle-tested and has made believers out of a lot of people.<\/p>\n

The Royals already have a 4 \u00bd game lead in their division and they own the best record in the AL. Their pitching and offense have them as a rightful betting favorite. Their recent playoff experience only enhances that position.<\/p>\n

St. Louis Cardinals 15\/2<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The league\u2019s best team in terms of wins limped into the All-Star break after losing three straight to Pittsburgh and going sub .500 on their trip before the break. This team is still far and away the best team in the National League. The break likely did this team some good- expect them to be there until the end.<\/p>\n

Washington Nationals 15\/2<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s face it \u2013 any team that can throw Max Scherzer, Jordan Zimmermann and Stephen Strasburg at you is a threat in the playoffs. Bryce Harper and the Nationals offense is top three in the NL with over four runs per game to boot. The Nationals came into the season with a lot of hype and seem absolutely built for a long playoff run.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Dodgers 17\/2<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke make up a terrific 1-2 punch and the offense has overachieved. If the hitters can continue to generate 4.2 runs per game like they have the Dodgers, too, become dangerous. At the All-Star break the Dodgers own a 4.5 game lead in the division \u2013 they shouldn\u2019t have much of a problem the rest of the way.<\/p>\n

San Francisco Giants 12\/1<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The problem for the Giants is the 4.5 game hole that they have dug in the NL West. They will likely be in a race for the Wild Card meaning that they will have to beat either Washington, St. Louis or Los Angeles on the road \u2013 JUST TO GET OUT OF THE NL. It\u2019s going to be tough in the National League this year \u2013 my feeling is that the Giants will be and early casualty.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Angels 12\/1<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Somebody has to challenge the Royals in the AL \u2013 Vegas thinks the Angels are in the best position to do so \u2013me too. They have solid pitching and they have two guys named Mike Trout (Trout is off the charts) and Albert Pujols the scare the bejesus out of opposing pitchers. LA isn\u2019t spectacular but they could make a run in October.<\/p>\n

Chicago Cubs 14\/1<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Just can\u2019t trust the Cubs<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Pirates 14\/1<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The Pirates are in the mix in the complex National League picture. They sit 2.5 games behind the Cardinals but 5.5 games up in the Wild Card \u2013 they look to be on a path for the postseason. Do I like the Pirates \u2013 yes. Do I like them against Scherzer, Zimmermann and Strasburg or Kershaw and Greinke in a seven game series \u2013 no.<\/p>\n

Houston Astros 16\/1<\/strong> <\/p>\n

They look like this year\u2019s Washington Nationals \u2013 solid up and down the lineup but not quite ready for postseason success.<\/p>\n

New York Yankees 16\/1<\/strong> <\/p>\n

This team will wear down toward the end of the season. They epitomize the \u201cveteran club\u201d that likely won\u2019t be able to keep up the pace. Still, you have to give props to this team \u2013 they are overachieving thus far.<\/p>\n

Detroit Tigers 20\/1<\/strong> <\/p>\n

It\u2019s pretty incredible that the Tigers are merely a .500 team at the half-way point. Not many, including myself see this team digging themselves out of the huge hole they dug for themselves.<\/p>\n
