The problem this team has is that it runs really hot and cold.<\/p>\n No surprise I guess, thank goodness Bryce Harper is a threat.<\/p>\n Washington needs Gio Gonzalez to find his form.<\/p>\n He might never be the guy who won 21 games in his first season for the Nats again but he needs to get back to striking out a batter an inning with a 3.50 ERA.<\/p>\n He is coming off back to back starts where has given up a combined 1ER so perhaps he is heating up with the weather.<\/p>\n On the road he has been a disaster this season with an ERA over 5.<\/p>\n Just when you think the AL East could not get any more crowded now Baltimore is working its way into the equation.<\/p>\n Baltimore is in second at the moment but they are just a game over .500 and could easily be in 4th by the end of the week.<\/p>\n That is despite getting swept by Minnesota and winning just two of their last ten. This is about the time this club took off last year but right now there are no signs of ascension. I am not a believer in this team but I wasn\u2019t last year either.<\/p>\n One of the differences from last year to this is that the Orioles have not been able to rely on Chris Tillman.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63745&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Never dominant Tillman has been consistent since joining the rotation back in 2012 and has definitely been a winner.<\/p>\n This year his ERA has jumped more than 2 runs and it doesn\u2019t seem to matter where or when he pitches.
