NASCAR\u2019s Sprint Cup series wraps-up the first half of its 36 point-race schedule this Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway<\/strong> with the running of the Quaker State 400<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The green flag for this prime-time event is set to wave at 7:30 p.m. (ET) and it be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports Network.<\/p>\n NASCAR Sprint Cup- Quaker State 400 Preview and Prediction<\/strong> Dale Earnhardt Jr. made his second trip to Victory Lane this season on Sunday night at Daytona with a win in the Coke Zero 400. Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin escaped a vicious wreck on the final lap to take second and third.<\/p>\n The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Saturday night\u2019s Quaker State 400 at Kentucky based on betting odds provided by Bovada.<\/p>\n If would be hard to argue against the fact that Jimmie Johnson<\/strong> has been the hottest driver through the first half of the season, which is why I really like his 6\/1 odds to win this week as my top favorite. <\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63742&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n The No. 48 car has already posted four victories through the first 17 point-race events and going back over this team\u2019s last 11 races, it has placed third or better eight times. It is currently third in the Sprint Cup standings with 589 total points. <\/p>\n Johnson has placed in the top-10 in his four previous Sprint Cup runs at Kentucky for an average finishing position of 7.0, but he is still looking for his first victory at this track.<\/p>\n Kyle Busch<\/strong> did not even get into the game until the 12th<\/sup> point race of the season after recovering from some serious injuries sustained in a wreck during this year\u2019s Speed Week at Daytona. <\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63791&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n While the No. 18 car has only cracked the top-10 twice in his first six races back, one of those runs was a victory on the road course at Sonoma in late June. <\/p>\n Most of the value in his 12\/1 betting odds to win this week lies in his past performance at this track. Busch won the inaugural race at Kentucky in 2011 and after taking fifth place in 2013, he posted a second-place finish in last season\u2019s Quaker State 400.<\/p>\n The top drivers in the Sprint Cup series are bunched pretty tight this week on Bovada\u2019s betting odds for this race, so I went pretty deep with this week\u2019s longshot by going with Ryan Newman\u2019s <\/strong>50\/1 odds to win.<\/p>\n The No. 78 car is currently in 14th<\/sup> place in the standings with a total of 472 points after racing its way to a very surprising second-place finish in last season\u2019s final Sprint Cup standings. <\/p>\n Newman does have four top-five finishes to his credit this season, but the main value in his odds lie in a couple of solid runs at Kentucky. He finished fourth in 2011 and third in last year\u2019s race.<\/p>\n\n
