The worst part is that includes two home starts, which is where he had been killing it this season.<\/p>\n On the road he has been getting hit hard all season so it is going to be tough to get behind Detroit in this one, especially given how inconsistent they have been all season.<\/p>\n The value is there but I don\u2019t like this spot.<\/p>\n The Mariners had high expectations coming into the season.<\/p>\n Needing offense they signed slugger Nelson Cruz and he has delivered but they never could have anticipated that Robinson Cano would be having his worst season as a pro, just one of the many reasons that they are last in the league in scoring.<\/p>\n Combine that with pitching that has been more solid than great and the Mariners are lucky to not be further behind the eight ball than they currently are.<\/p>\n If the Mariners are going to make any sort of push in the second half they are going to need Hisashi Iwakuma to find his form.<\/p>\n He made three starts before landing on the disabled list and did not look sharp.<\/p>\n He has not pitched in a game since April but is expected to take his turn against Detroit.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63745&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n His track record is solid, especially at home, and the Ms really need him as they search for consistency.<\/p>\n Over is 9-0 in DET last 9 road games.
